It was a beautiful and dramatic finish to the 2012 Mongolia Bike Challenge presented by Orbea. After weather problems earlier in the week, the ninth and tenth stages were completely redesigned by the organizers - many of the athletes voiced that the final stages were two of the best of the whole race. It was a battle from the start of stage ten as riders fought for final positions in the overall classification. At the finish line it was Wicks (Kona), Wallace (Kona) and Zamora (Buff). Cory Wallace won the overall classification and is the new 2012 Champion. In the women’s race, Elisabeth Adamson (Australia) won the stage and took back the pink jersey, becoming the 2012 Champion. Thank you and congratulations to all the racers who took on the challenge this year!

I really want to do this.

Will it be the sickest riding of all time? Probably not..
Will it be a life changing experience that teaches you that you can do what ever you put your mind to, and give you a chance to see something REAL before globalization and commercialization eats up this stunning part of the world too? Probably!

hahahaha I find it hilarious that what we consider roads in first world countries you only need a road bike for, but the roads in Mongolia are considered biking trails.

How fitting this race be set in an ex-Soviet country. It melds so well with PinkBikes soviet style censorship of comments..

A dictatorship is a dictatorship and democracy is democracy, but when stupid comments are made do they really deserve to be heard?

I'm sorry, but Mongolia is not an Ex-Soviet country. It's close to the fomer USSR it but not exactly Soviet.

Joe27 You are right. Ex-Soviet dependent would be more accurate. But you know what I'm getting at..

That does not look like fun. How is it fun? XC racing is not fun. It just isn't.
