Movember - 3 Tips for Mustache Maintenance from Ross Schnell

Nov 14, 2011
by Karl Burkat
We're half way through Movember and we've seen some pretty epic staches going around. But honestly none could rival Ross Schnell's. So who better to receive tips from on maintaining that baby.

Also reminder that this is a perfect time to donate to prostate cancer if you haven't already. I know Aaron Larocque has a Movember space, feel free to boost him up here http://ca.movember.com/mospace/2040896/

I agreed to be part of movember mid october while joking around with some friends. Then October ended and I actually had to man up, honour my poorly thought out commitment, shave the beard and start warming my lip solo. I hated it at first and still kinda do. My wife is not thrilled and I feel like Chris Hanson is around every corner. Creepy. However, Movember is about raising awareness for prostate cancer research and prevention. I've had lots of people in my life effected by cancer and have lost family members to the disease, and I'm still fairly young. So if growing a mustache and looking like I'm one wrong glance away from an amber alert is able to help the cause and perhaps in some small way contribute to saving someone from, or alleaviating some of the discomfort associated with, Cancer, then I'm in. Lets not forget what the stupid staches are for this month. Cheers. If you you wanna donate and don't know anyone donning the lip sweater please feel free: www.mobro.co/SeanLarsen

Mustaches are the sign of an evil genius. Beards on the other hand signifies a pure blooded good guy. Fact. On the other hand. that is one EPIc lip warmer. time to brake the news to the better half... its time to throw away the razors.

Movember mustashes should be grown from a clean shave starting 1st November - I'm afraid I doubt that 'tash was grown from scratch 2 weeks ago.

Edit: actually maaaaybe it could have been

If you're gonna be in an article about Movember you really should be following the rules. No way that beast is 2 weeks old. Better suited for this weeks issue of the Hipster Herald

Movember and Novembeard are cool but this facial hair is super scratchy and makes it very hard to sleep. Also my girlfriend complains that my beard tickles her. But hey it's a tradition so whatever. Salute
