Full results at bottom...This man has his finger-literally--on the pulse of the mountain biking racing--if only for just an hour. Swiss timing.
"X" Marks the spot. If you fail to get to this spot before anyone else, you're only winning if you get lucky or if the guy in front of you screws up. That's about 50 meters away. Better hope you have the inside line and sharp elbows.
When your shoes come from Shimano with your name on them, you have arrived. Grubby Graves has been getting shoes with his name on them for a while now, I reckon.
Joost Wichman came inside on Guido Tschugg here. Not sure how I missed NOT ending up getting run over in the straightaway following. I guess I owe Guido a beer...
Anneke Beerten with the hole shot in turn one, holding on here in turn two. Just out of frame is Katy Curd, about to get shut down by Fionn Griffiths.
Katy Curd's rear derailleur was less than happy about meeting Fionn...
Take no prisoners. Michal Prokop swept the small final with a wee bit of aggression. He owned the first corner and pretty much shut any door in the corners. Game, set, and match.
Graves. Pinned. And Crushing the competition. I think it's safe to say that Graves is going to own another WC overall 4X title in La Bresse; he's only got a 125 point lead over Roger Rinderknecht, but with Windham's 4X out of the series, unless Graves' fails to qualify at Val di Sole, he's the overall winner.
Fionn and Katy, no hard feelings...

All that and a bag o' chips proves what? "Scene" doesn't matter, quality does.
$50USD says an American wins Chatel this weekend, oh, AND WC DH too;
Ya'll heard of Aaron Gwin?
Yeah, about that...
yes windham cancelling the 4X was a real neckbreaker for the northamerican tourstops. i doubt they get a second chance next year. the location for next years U.S. tourstop hasn't been announced so far, right?
