Team Chain Reaction Nukeproof Mechanic, Carl Lottering Geeson, takes you through the team edition of the Nukeproof Scalp that the team are running during the 1st World Cup of 2012. Also including a helmet cam run by Joe Smith and some incredible images of the team during the first few days of the 2012 World Cup season.
The bikes are looking in top form
Joe Smith's team bike ready for action
Al Bond broke his collarbone less than 3 weeks ago and today qualified for a World Cup final!
Sending one of the huge tables
The new team kit looks sick this year!
There are actually a few steep sections on the PMB course!

The only grumbles i have, which are only very slight are that the paint job on the yellow one i bought doesnt seem very durable and the overall manufacture quality has the feel of a prototype ( the back end has a 2mm gap where the wheel goes in before you tighten it. The brace on the rear triangle hasnt been welded on quite straight)
Also its quite tight for chain devices meaning you can only sensibly run a max 36 tooth ring.
Bike is quite low too. Had to run 165mm cranks to help stop them clipping rocks
Seriously minor grumbles though really am enjoying the ride
Easy to see how costs add up.
But makes you wonder how raleigh could effectivly set up a template of its nottingham works in taiwan at merida and still be competative. Along with many well known brands.
Think the uk lost a lot of it industry and inovation a generation ago to the far east.

Sorry for ramble..
we've got orange, and cotic, and genesis, and ragley, the list goes on.
The new full-suss ragleys are absoluty awesome.
Also, the Scalp was named after Moneyscalp DH trails in N.Ireland which no longer exists! The place has literally been scalped due to disease I think.
Bikes still look beaut though.
Can't really see them running the single-plys...
