Who would have thought a piece of paper, a pencil and a sick idea would get you so far? Congratulations to Kyle Wynia for his winning creation in the Rockstar Bike Rodeo, Dream It, Drop It Contest. Kyle’s idea won him and three of his riding buddies a sick trip to the Panorama Bike Park for four days and a chance to meet and ride with pro rider Kurt Sorge.
The launch of "The Mouse Trap", the new Rockstar feature at Panorama Bike Park couldn’t have been more amazing. Mountain bike legend Kurt Sorge joined Pano locals and creator Kyle to show their stuff on the new feature at Panorama Mountain Village.
Beautiful weather, a big crowd, free Rockstar, a sick new stunt and riders from all around set an amazing atmosphere to launch the new feature and a crazy game of one up. Opening ceremonies began at 2pm with an heartfelt speech from Brad Brush, Director of Mountain Operations, introductions and congratulations to Kyle, the designer of "The Mouse Trap".

After a few words from Kurt, some photos with the Rockstar girls and some freeriding swag for Kyle, the dubstep started pumping and the riding began. First up were Kurt, Kyle and the local riders showing their stuff on the new feature. A few laps later on The Mouse Trap the announcement was made opening the feature officially to the public, and the jam session was on. 40 plus riders, giving it their all, dug deep into their bag of tricks to show off for the crowd and enjoy the party.

click here. We all know what happens when a load of riders get together…A dirty game of one-up. It all started when local pro Sawyer Logan decided to skip the wall ride and gap the last half of the feature. Then it was on! Once Sawyer stepped up and threw the gap over the wall everyone started trying it and with that came lots of head slapping cases and crashes.
When everyone was done throwing themselves and trying the best tricks they could, the long trains started, capping off the session and pumping up the crowd. Here's a short edit from the launch party.
After the jam session was over and done with, Kurt joined Panorama locals Sawyer Logan, Spencer Garofalo, John Tapozini and JC Morel for a few laps around the park to get some video footage, and here is what we got.
Thank you to everyone that came out to show their stuff and support the ever-growing Panorama Bike Park. Also, thanks to Kurt Sorge for coming out and showing us how riding should be done. Finally, thank you to everyone on Panorama’s trail crew and Rockstar for funding and setting up an amazing day and new feature.
