I had Transition down as one of the prettiest bikes out there, it may be time to revise.Cube Two 15
-FSP 4 Link System
-x12mm Rear Axle
-Fox Racing Shox 40 Kashima Fork
-Formula R0 Disk Brakes
-Shimano Saint Hubs on Alexa Rims
Quality finishing from Cube, with detail like this you should be getting excited.
Cubes Triple Linkage Geometry - Some might say a nice little catcher for all that mud and grime. We know Cube uses quality bearings, but only a long term test will tell.
Fox DHX RC 4 Factory Kashima rear shock.
Apparently the all new 661 d30 Evo knee pad will be a few clams cheaper than the old one. The Evo is an all new design for 661 - in comparison to the Kyle Straits, the d3o insert and the pad itself feature a cup shape, vs the old flat wrap design. The intent here is for a more fitted knee pad that stays in place. The front impact zone now uses the same re-enforced material as seen on the 661 Padlock knee.
The back of the 661 d3O Evo - note the new larger venting followed by the omission of the rear strap.
d3O insert in the raw, with a shiny black silicone coating fresh out of the new 661 Evo knee pads.
661 Rage knee pads, formerly known as Kyle Straits. A new revised colour way and name change for the world's most popular knee pad from 661.
For all you hairdressers out there that insist on matching collars and cuffs, here are the matching Rage elbow pads. Super comfortable with plenty of protection, and enough straps to keep her in place. Winner!
Continental Mud Kings in dual ply 2.3" are here. Winter is fast approaching and it's time to put those Barons and Kaisers away. We all know that the Athertons ran Wetscreams with a blacked out Maxxis logo when it got wet, now they and you can throw away that black marker.
Bigger and thicker ramped knobs from Continental means predictable cornering and more stable on the straight sections. Will we see racers cutting them down - only time will tell.
I'm a great fan of 24" BMX Cruisers. You can get an awesome bike like this brand new GT Speed Series. For about the same cost as a entry level jump bike you can still have some serious fun., whether you're down at the BMX track, the dirt jumps, the skate park use or just a paper round.
Gary Turner would be proud to have his initials surrounded by these wings.
GT's Internal seat clamping system.
Gold ano horizontal dropouts on the downside of the chain stay. I first saw this frame at Perry Barr BMX track in Birmingham this Summer at the Euros, where it won every moto and race piloted by the Frenchman Joris Daudet.
I have no idea what you would call this "bike" that was displayed at the mega flash Specialized booth, can you help me out and play, "How many MTB components can you recognize"?
Early Rider are a UK based company that produce these wooden "Boot Scoot" style bikes. Available in a few sizes to get your little one riding without the use of stabilizers. Nice neat trick is the adjustable steering, a quick minute spent adjusting the fork setting reduces the amount of steering available for little Polly's first steps at riding a proper bike.
Now check this prototype out from Early Rider, I nick named her the ladybird. Think Dyson hoover or a ball barrow. No wheels just two spheres that are made even more stable with two small office chair casters bolted to the mid section. Polly could spin around the kitchen on this from the age of 12 months onwards I'm guessing.
Available in February 2012 we will have Polly "The Rocket" Paton drifting around the Paton household in no time.Stay tuned for more from Eurobike 2011
