The SPS guys were out in force

Race entries sold out within two hours of going online, meaning there was a big turnout of riders

The race was a pretty big event. Monster Energy were there handing out free cans

The track was purpose built for the race, and had a bit of everything

Standard riding munch

Styling it up over one of the jumps

DH bikes were overkill. A full sus all mountain bike was the way to go. There were more Orange Fives than you could shake a stick at

Dropping into the finish area. As the day progressed the crowds began to gather here and the music kept going all day

Ruari sending the drop further than most people
Ruari Hallam sending the drop further than most people

Indeed! Peaty is a true living legend. Looks like he truly enjoys giving back and growing the sport locally. You guys have a serious mtb scene and actual spectators at your races!

The track was great to race and over the road in wharncliffe wood is some of the most technical track you will ever find.

Looks like Peaty is the first big name to win a DH. race on a 29er. Does that mean we all have to buy one now.

Peaty is the man. It is so cool that a big time pro like him puts on a race in his backyard to give back to the mtb community.
