Akrigg out! How is that possible? Favourite video of them all.
  • 18 2
I cant beleive it... It was so skilled and so different.
  • 8 7
I'm stoked, literally everything I voted for advanced Smile
  • 17 14
WTF?! Matt Macduff didnt make it?! Holy shit there must be some serious errors in the voting system!

Nah, for real man. Downhill videos are soooo boring! Cant belive its almost only downhill vids that gets VOD.. damn.
  • 19 5
Thats because regular people don't think downhill videos are boring lol....
  • 12 1
sorry but harrison mendels video was way better then matt beer.....
  • 7 0
into thin air??? amazing video but lazy ass people didn't want to patiently watch a brilliant video!!
  • 4 0
i think its more that if thats your type of riding you like it. Just like i think most dirtjumping vids are boring because i dont dirtjump much.
  • 3 0
Into Thin Air is an amazing video. The amount of control that those two have over their bikes is phenomenal. But it just lacked the buzz that that Ty's David McMillan Bio produced. The way David gets around on that bike is just amazing to watch.

I actually had a tough time deciding between harrison mendels and the matt beer video. I dont ride slope or dirt jump, but I find them just as interesting. In the end I did vote for harrison mendels, but I just don't understand how someone can find a downhill video boring... unless maybe the riding is crappy and so is the trail and the editing. It all really just comes down to personal opinion.

I'm definitely surprised that some of them didn't advance - Into Thin Air, the Akrigg one. I'm obviously not in line with the typical Pinkbike viewer.

Akrigg is out because people are trying to win prizes, just clicking on one and haven't see the Vid.... should be #1 or close .. if u know mad skills. Too bad Frown
  • 40 5
Akrigg didn't advance? Wow. Did people just vote based off of the thumbnail?
  • 13 4
way to go secco. racking up near 30% against macaskill.
  • 5 3
I think its either going to be Builders vs Loggers or Off the Radar in the final. Both of these videos are amazing!
  • 3 0
i agree with gillisd3. tho all the videos are amazing, those two defiantly stand out.
  • 1 0
yah.. but i cant decide on matchup 6.. i just cant decide... i want them both to move on
  • 2 1
 how didnt akrigg advance.....
  • 2 1
didn't get as many votes as builders vs. loggers ...
  • 1 0
indeed, your sarcasm isnt lost on me, but my seems like it was lost on you. loggers was shit and akriggs was unreal. different leagues, yet some retards voted for it, strange really....
  • 19 1
can believe Akrigg is out!!! At least top 5 video IMO, maybe the best.
  • 20 4
it seriously is a shame Akrigg is out, deserves to make it into the finals at least. Most of the other vids don't even compare. lol...I'm PO'd right now!
  • 27 0
I wanted Akrigg to win it. That's one of my most favorite videos ever. Shame...
  • 3 1
Yeah, every video he makes is amazing but that one was my favorite one... meh. We're back also didn't make it and I thought the riding was crazy. Double meh....
  • 1 1
Who votes for this!? I thought it was obvious for everyone that Akrigg is one of the most inspiring, talentet and entertaining mountainbike riders ever. And A Hill in Spain is probably the best video from him! I'm in shock!!!
Maybe someone saw a flag they knew and voted for that :o)
  • 1 1
 indeed.

I love some downhill video just as much as the next guy, and I even leaned toward certain videos that exhibited the most difficult tricks, but it seems to me that some ordinary DH edits- although well shot- beat out some truly inspired videos. I'm shocked that Into Thin Air didn't advance. It had me spellbound.
  • 11 1
Personally I would love for one of the DH videos to win, it would be top!
  • 10 3
a lot of good options. but i think macaskill will take it. because it is unique and unlike all the other videos.
  • 7 0
 *coughbecauseheisscottishcough*
  • 2 0
might also be because it was made specifically for channel 4...
  • 3 1
Yeah i don't think the Danny Macaskill video should be in there. It was so heavily backed by Channel 4 and Red Bull.
  • 8 0
 the epic ones are out....
  • 4 0
 :-(
  • 4 0
your stuff rocks Marco, so much respect for the the effort you put in to film in those extraordinary places.
  • 4 0
thanks but it wasn't my video who got kicked out - I had no videos in the final. There were only 2 no-dh and no-dirt videos and they are gone, unfortunately. Still, there is some sick stuff in the 16 remaining vids.
  • 8 1
Akrigg had probably the most difficult lines MTB had ever seen... Filming and editing were excellent. Truly inspiring video.
  • 1 1
And i don't like slo-mo downhill movies...give me some action.
  • 2 0
I think the video of Scott Allen in Kimberley deserves to win. I know the kid who made it, and he's only 15. A 15 year old against a company like red bull isn't exactly a fair fight.
  • 3 0
micheal goldstein you got ripped off! your vid got me so pumped to shred, hats off to your rider he's rippin!
  • 1 0
I did like the Winter Rehabilitaion Video shreddin on his transition. IMO, I liked it better than some of these "normal" Dh vids. Suprised that it didn't make it and that tere were sooooo many upsets
  • 3 0
The fact that Akrigg is out in round one means this whole bracket is bogus
  • 3 1
I don't care what any0ne says... Builders V. Loggers should win. Sums up why mountain biking exists.
  • 3 1
Couldn't agree more. Hanging out in the woods digging trails, riding bikes, and making fires. Doesn't get much better than that.
  • 2 0
Builders vs. loggers has a valid story line, and trails don't build themselves.
  • 1 0
The story is good but where's the riding? About 45 seconds of slow-mo downhill and whips. Compared to a 5minutes edit of pure action, inimitable riding, fantastic images with no slow-mo. Don't get me wrong, i liked builders vs loggers... Akrigg was just uncomparable and so different...
  • 1 0
its not about the riding per-say, its about the video. Yeah his video was good, but it was purely riding, Builders vs. Loggers had riding, and a story line ... i think its a little harsh to say it was "incomparable"
  • 3 1
I'm calling silvia at sun peaks to win it, those guys rip and they're from B.C. Its a win win
  • 2 1
But it's up against Freeride's Dead Frown
  • 1 1
 Yeah thery're both sick videos
And silvia taking that win by almost 50%
I think silvias gonna win
  • 1 1
That is going to be so hard for me to decide....
  • 1 1
totally a disappointment that Akrigg didnt make it.. and its funny how everyone basically complains about it.. it was a bad match up for him, almost seems unreal...
  • 3 1
it's clear that we'll see macaskill vs miles at the final
  • 2 0
Do we get extra points for picking upsets?
  • 2 1
why do people vote just on popularity of the rider? and no akrigg, come on!
  • 1 0
its kinda messed up how you can see on the bracket who someone has already voted for ...
  • 1 0
i think its kinda messed up that you can see the bracket that already has votes ... -__-
