All summer, all across Canada, Giant’s super stealth, polyester-clad team was hitting trails and festivals, bike parks and suburban sidewalks looking for totally random people to give new Giant bikes to. The campaign is called Random Acts of Bikeness, and it’s Giant’s way of taking bad, jiggly, rusty, beaten down bikes off the street and replacing them with much cooler rides.

Check out the past Random Acts of Bikeness from this summer:

Moncton, New Brunswick
Hamilton, Ontario
Vaudreuil Dorion, Quebec

Visit www.giantbicycle.com to find a Giant store near you.

We figure everyone deserves a great bike – so let’s give some away. (And is there any better way than on the sly in puffy wigs and aviators? We didn't think so.)

Imagine if this is still going on in 5-10 years. They'll be like holly cow look at this dinasour, that right there is a 2014 carbon demo 8 and are considered quite scarce.

Ye but a blackbox and xo specced Danny hart replica would have been better.... These people, they don't know what their doing! ☺️

But it's really cool that giant do this and it's great marketing.

a standard bike with the same frame as a world cup bike is better that a 48lb monster
  • + 32
oh my god how good is that? we would never get anything like that in this country!!!! even IF you did there would probably be some sort of free bike tax to pay on it before you could have it!!!

Great to see Giant giving back to the biking community...good for them
  • + 7
with millions and millions of $$$ in sales that glory is a mere mist off their sales, nice bike that went to a, im sure, deserving person
  • + 2
its also a tax write-off haha. people dont just give stuff away without benefiting themselves

This commercial was posted a few months ago. What Giant needs to do now is tell where the RAB team are going to go next. So we at PB can take the most "shart" bikes we can find and encircle them in a "shart bike brigade".

i bet the boyfriend was so freakin pissed ahahaha
  • + 22
Nah...how can he be pissed when that Glory's too big for his girl..His smile can be seen from a mile away.
  • + 3
Why would you do if she hated dh, but she had been dragged along to whistler by her boyfriend when she would much rather be painting her nails and partying whilst her guy is gone?
  • + 1
 *what
  • + 2
That girl doesn't look like she enjoys painting her nails more than riding her bike. You can tell that by her hoorah! I bet she shreds.
  • + 7
Ok Giant all I need to know is the day, time and exact location you'll be near me so I can show up with my bike.... that I definitely didn't just haul out of the dump.
  • + 2
Giant are really working hard to make themselves present as the "good guys" of the cycling world with this and the Portuguese fellow, we all have to admit this is a great thing to see, I don't see specialised handing demos out willy nilly
  • + 6
I think she might be a little bit too small for that beauty...
  • + 6
I can hardly contain my jealousy...

WHAATT!!!! I should've made a trip up there this summer with my janky, old, beat to hell bike. I've got a year 2000, Kona Stab Primo, with 24" wheels (rear one is bent with dents and missing 3 spokes), Blown out Monster Triple Bomber forks, a original Fox Vanilla shock, and some small handlebars, and a headset that has one bost that is missing threads that I hope to re-thread using a tapping tool. Uh, Giant, can you pleeasse throw one my way down here in Nor-Cal, cause I don't have the money to re-pare my bike, nor do I have the money to take a trip to Whistler or even Tahoe.

Thanks, would really appreciate a much needed upgrade, haha
  • + 11
 I vote for this^guy next!
  • + 3
Yeah! I have a 1999 kona stab dee-lux! I would happily have taken her old bike!
  • + 1
Hmmm maybe I just need to go to whistler with two bikes during crankworx. One janky bike for walking around the village and one for riding.

to Craigslist I go... Razz

congrats to her and nice work Giant!
  • + 1
by the way not forget whistler change their entire rental bike for giant glory so when i went in september i saw my bike like 150 time in one day it feel strange ! oh nice for her i think the bf will get the bike !
  • + 3
I'd stick with the Santa Cruz!!
  • + 1
Well she now has both...That Sta Cruz looked like a single pivot Bull-it.
  • + 1
 Yes, yes it is.
  • + 1
Haha! What happens when they split up and she wants 'her' bike? I bet she wants to take it even though they replaced his old one!
  • + 2
a family that rides together stays together
  • + 1
A free bike is the best thing. Respect while some people save a money to buy a double crown downhill mtb.
  • + 2
She should do a hand-me-up and give it to the b/f
  • + 1
My guess is the boyfriend will be grabbing that and she'll end up with his hand-me-down bike again!
  • + 2
i think i would pass out if someone just handed me a free bike like that
  • + 1
pretty happy for her and her moment of happiness. cant even conclude how good that bike could be on the whistler tracks.
