 The commentators were horrible. What made it worse is the semi script they had to read from. Now after seeing the rampage for a few times...Norbs was definitely robbed

 I thought it was fine. I mean what do you really expect from a mainstream broadcast? I enjoyed it. Also, for the record, although I can see where you are coming from regarding Bestwick - he is ridiculous on a vert ramp. Much respect.

 Yeah was fully thinking it was more a drinking game than what is supposed to be the pinnacle of Big Mountain Riding. The amount of times 'Judges, Big or Utah Fans' amongst others was said was ludicrous. I'm all for taking the sport mainstream but only if its exciting to watch and listen too. It would be like going to a Tool concert only to hear Bieber coming out of the speakers. Rob Warner should be the voice of Mountain Biking...Period!!!

 Or force/blackmail/kidnap/torture Cam to have a wireless mic with him so he can commentate and ride at the same time.

 Agreed with chyu the best rampage commentary was when Cam McCaul was injured and commentated in 2010. I thought Bestwick was good at calling the tricks at Joyride but, seemed out of his element here. Richie Schley was better but, miss called a few tricks. I am not for the sport going more mainstream. I don't want MTB in the xgames or more people on the trails cause it has become too popular. The only good thing I see about it going mainstream is that the riders get more money and used bike parts get cheaper.

 i really think the 3's were insane! but remember they judge on line choice too! i honestly think that the left ridge that Norbs rode [up top] was way easier and mellower than the other ridge...

 they had a few months to script thier excuses and try to minimize his amazing run. What about Cam's low score being the ONLY guy to do the gap AND he recieved best trick for the huge flip that followed.

 Yeah they scripted it to make us feel Kyle didn't get robbed and it kind of worked on me but, now i think Cam got robbed way more.

Ok I do get the point ambatt, but you can't deny that was simply bad choice of wording!

 You two must have also missed the part where I said, "This version captured the majesty and the massive scope of Rampage's location, but failed to communicate the spirit and the rush of the actual riding...". I was there. I felt how amazing it was, and they failed to communicate that.

For example: Sal Masakela wasn't even there the day of the finals but they edited him into the post-production video as though he was; they also heavily commentated and voiced over the crowd cheers and failed to communicate to the public the extreme energy and stoke that goes on at Rampage. That's called 'overproduction', fellas. And the fellow doing the NBC voiceover? Guess what? He's the same voice from the Bachelor. So... Yes. 'Another fake reality show' fits because they used the same voice from one of their fake reality shows. But that comes with going mainstream, I suppose.

It's partly an opinion, guys... It also is partly fact. Everyone is allowed to voice theirs, so sarcastic replies (scott-townes) and arguing about "bad wording" (Konad) is really just pointless. I made a statement about how fake watching this felt, and that statement was pretty final... It still is.

 it would be nice if NBC invested in the project before it was amazingly filmed. They just bought it and ruined the comentator. They should have used the original voices of Mtn. Biking and added their crappy EmCee's to cut away to comercials.

 ambatt- I've been attending since they brought it back but also grew up watching since the first one and I've gotta say the only real way you can really get a feel for the energy the Rampage creates is to actually attend. Even the Rampage movies hardly show the excitement/intensity/epicness when you see it in person... plus it was a mainstream broadcast as just a competition, instead of a "documentary" style so it's expected for them to pull stuff like having an announcer from the Bachelor... haha. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's impossible for them to show an audience, where a good part probably have never mtb before, all the underlying things that goes on down there. Remember also that this TV series is a very new project for Red Bull and the first time ever this has been broadcasted to such a large audience so maybe if the ratings were good enough, they will do a better job next year... although that's probably very wishful thinking... haha.

Also it's just the internet. Sarcasm is going to happen because without sarcasm there would be no internet or facebook! That's a scary fact!

 In Red Bull's Supernatural snowboard competition put on by Travis Rice, all the riders were riding with Contour camera's linked to a computer someplace because they were showing cam shots immediately afterwards, so although not "real-time" they're already processing the view's VERY quickly for us to see. Much like here. Only a matter of time! If there is one thing positive about the Red Bull broadcasts, they do cover all the camera angles amazingly well.

 The Status isn't that far off from the Demo in terms of performance. Word is Martin S and The Claw choose the Status because of the higher bb height. I was just shocked cause if I was hurling myself down cliffs I'd prob prefer Saints over the XT Trails but this looks good for the performance of XT Trail brakes
