Biking on the Greenlandic Ice Cap - Rough.Real.Remote.

Destination Arctic Circle in Greenland is Rough. Real. Remote. and four of us took an epic trip in August, 2012 and packed in as much adventure as we could handle. We spent the first days camping right by the Greenlandic Ice Cap, at Russell Glacier, hiking on the ice and watching our friend, Petr Kraus, a Red Bull Trial Biker, go crazy on the wild landscapes.

Trial Biking and BMX in Greenland - Rough.Real.Remote.

Destination Arctic Circle in Greenland is Rough. Real. Remote. and this clip is the third in a series of five that chronicles an epic adventure taken by lucky travelers in August 2012. Sisimiut is the second largest town in Greenland but it only has 5,500 residents. Despite its size, and remote location on the edge of the wild, a vibrant street culture lives. After school, the skate and BMX park is filled with budding extreme athletes, performing impressive tricks, and Petr Kraus, a Red Bull trial biker explored the town, hung out with the local kids, and got a taste of the urban Arctic.

That is brilliant! That made my day! I love the potential of this, take folks out there to see how it looks like with their own eyes, at the same time, give them a good time in one of the most remote places on earth. If mountain biking industry can give something back to the environment, then a thing of this kind is absolutely one of the best things to do. Natural environment is the ultimate bit of what gives sense to our passion, trail/atmospheric conditions are one of main components of a good day on bike. Greenland is an icon of climate change these days.

Thank you for raising awareness, thanks you for this beatiful movie and I wish you all the best in whatever you do!

The first Video is so inspirational to me. It isn't much you can do, but just start to switch off all the Lights in your House you don't need. It isn't much, but it's a small step to save OUR world !

unfortunately true ^ if you looked closely at the ice, you could see that the surface was black with pollution... its sad how much our actions impact the beauty of nature and we don't even realize how much it impacts it until its gone.

...That isn't pollution. It's rock and soil. Glacial ice scrapes against rock constantly.

so which is better, Iceland or Greenland?

Iceland is about to explode, Greenland will melt slowly from being the biggest island to become an archipelago - which one do you prefer?
