In the Adirondack Park of New York mountain biking is just beginning to take off. The Barkeater Trail Alliance began building trails in 2011, specifically for mountain biking. In the Lake Placid/ Wilmington area, we set out to capture the beauty of fall in the Adirondacks as well as the quality of the Barkeater’s trails.

This was filmed in my backyard! The Hardy Road Trails and The Flume trails on the side of Whiteface, both in Wilmington are incredible, and they're only getting better. The big drop at the end was filmed in Lake Placid on the Craig Wood trails. Mountain biking is blowing up here. Thanks, Steve, Eli, and The Barkeater Trail Alliance (BETA)!

Whats up New York state shredders? My name is Clark, and I am moving to Buffalo from Montana. I love riding my 26" whether its on the streets or in the sticks. I was hoping that I could meet some riders from Buffalo or other parts of New York via pinkbike, and maybe get in on some trail rides this next summer.... Anyways, hope y'all are doin' great, best of luck in 2014, and I hope to see yall out there ripping, cause that's where I'ma be!;-)

Not sure what type of riding you are into but the Western New York Mountain Bike Association maintains quite a few trails in the surrounding areas of Buffalo. Check them out at www.wnymba.org

Have the barkeaters ever hooked up with the guys at Wear on Earth in Potsdam? We've got some slick trails up north as well and it'd be cool to do some group rides/ trail days / discuss getting more trails built in the 'daks for sure. Killer edit BTW. Whats the name of that tasty jam??

Nice one Eli! I used to end up at some sketchy old hunting cabins and the likes trying to find good spots to ride in the dacks as recently as just a couple years ago. It's great to see the scene taking off. Adirondacks has such good potential.

Looking across the lake, i am always dissapointed at how weak the MTB scene is compared to VT. The daks are such amazing mountains! Great to see some nice trails are being developed by the Barkeaters. Thanks for the local stoke.

Awesome! I know how hard it can be to work with NY's government to get trail built, especially in the Dacks. Great achievement Barkeaters!
