Cross country racers from around the globe arrived in Madrid to dry and dusty conditions. With a course littered with steep climbs, racers opted to run the lightest equipment available. This meant most racers chose SID as the suspension of choiceAt the end of the day, four of the top five men raced on SRAM components. All top five of the women competed on SRAM gear.
Julien Absalon (Bianchi Agos) was victorious in the men’s division followed by Christoph Sauser (Specialized) rounded out by Ralph Näf (Merida).
On the women’s side, Gunn Rita Dahle (Merida) took top honors followed by Marga Fullana (Spuik) rounded out by Irina Kalentieva (Top Peak Ergon).
