Seasonaires - Ep4 - Maxime Bruneau

Maxime's commitment to good times is demonstrated by the fact that he lived in a tent all summer in order to be able to ride everyday and save money. Living in a tent means the money saved will help him continue having fun when it turns to winter, when he will be heading to New Zealand for another summer of riding.

Canvassing good times.

It’s the days when I ride with Maxime Bruneau I struggle to figure out who is the world's most stoked mountain biker. Is it Maxime or is it me because I was riding with Maxime?

His enthusiasm is infectious and his friendly outgoing character has made him a hit amongst many, many people who inhabit Whistler.

His commitment to good times is demonstrated by the fact that he lived in a tent all summer in order to be able to ride everyday and save money. So anyone that says they wish they could give up their life and afford to live a season in Whistler needs to take note of Maxime. It’s just a case of wanting to do it, and if you want to do it you will make it happen. Even if it means sleeping in the cold and rain, sharing the woods with a bear, and being charming enough to convince the ladies that they should come back to a tent in the woods.

If you need inspiration then look no further than Max. If you need a good buddy to schralp laps with then look for Max in the lifelines. He is your man.

Seasonaires is a five part series that will be aired weekly starting the first week in November and coincides with an eight page feature of the same title in issue 105 of DIRT MAGAZINE www.http://dirt.mpora.com/

Tom Grundy, 19, is from England and is a freelance videographer. Over the past year he has been filming for Red Bull reporter and creating his own monthly webisodes, The Tom Grundy Webisodes. He spent three months living in Whistler this past summer, all the whilst documenting the place and its people from within. As well as riding the bike park with 8 of his best friends. He then headed home, back to the UK to edit Seasonaires into five tales of Summer. www.tomgrundy.co.uk

Seb Kemp is a freelance writer, coach, and trail builder who is based anywhere, anytime. He scripted and created the Seasonaires theme, as well as finding the “talent” for this series, interviewing them, herding them, and generally putting a boot up the arse of them when it came down to shooting and filming for this project. www.2flat.wordpress.com

Probably my favourite one yet, I was lucky enough to ride a few laps training behind Max and I always got to the bottom with a grin on my face.

Nearly 20 years ago I lived this kind of lifestyle in the French alps in order to snowboard every day. Wish we had big bikes with downhill tires, suspension and disc brakes at the time!!!

How many girls did he bring back to the tent? Was a major question left unanswered.

...Maybe we should examine the fact he wore his kneepads in the tent???

...He's a laidback dude, super smooth rider...no teen angst there...

Is it just me or does his fork look like its set up way too stiff?

entire suspension looked to stiff but he was able to jump really easily so maybe thats why he runs it that way
