We were sat with Stevie on the chair at Whistler.... "I just love to get my chainsaw out and build trails".... mint So great that such a great rider is so grounded and keeps it so real.
He was super nice to a new rider who did not realise that the Canadian Open Dh track was for a different discipline than the Olympics XC.
Stevie was my favourite rider at the top before that moment, and that just cemented him as my favourite.
I'm with ya! Steve is super cool and super nice. I was at Crankworx and for a couple of days after. Bumped into him twice. He's a super awesome chap. :-)
That was an excellent short film. It showed his ridiculously positive attitude and his humor very well. Then come race day, even after not winning he still seemed positive when around all those people, and when he was finally "alone" in a sense you could see his mind working, thinking about his result and how he wanted more. Really good insight into who he is as a person.
Awesome vid. So cool to see many sides of a rider...the fun, the work, the dealing with the non desired result - all by a guy totally driven to win.
Good luck at Leogang Steve!
i want his bikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are pretty cool

And seriously, why hasn't anyone given the man a bike case already?
