Sun Peaks Bike Park Sending It In 2013

Sun Peaks Resort is proud to announce improvement plans for our trail system. Throughout this summer season substantial work will be done on Smooth Smoothie, Home Run, Insanity One, and Big Rock Ride. These trails and all the others will receive not only the regular maintenance and small improvements that our guests are used to, but also major work to improve flow and trail sustainability which will result in a trail that is more fun to ride for everyone.


Sugar and Sweet One will also be returning for 2013 with significant improvements. Last year after many years of bug kill and dead fall we were forced to close the trail for safety reasons. While the trails were closed, our slopes crew and independent contractors worked to get the dead fall and bug kill cleared and now that clearing is complete the trail crew can go in and re-open the trail. Thanks so much for your understanding last season and rest assured we will be doing our best to re-open our signature trails as soon as possible.

With the return of the Canada Cup too Sun Peaks more work will be happening on DH and Arm Pump to ensure that racers are met with the best course possible on July 6th and 7th. Saturday evening of the Canada Cup weekend will also feature a Global FMX tour stop right at the base of the mountain, click here for more details.


All work on trails is subject to weather and snow melt, so unfortunately we will not be able to give you any concrete dates at this time, but we look forward to seeing you up here for the 2013 Summer season.
