There must be a lot of trail maintenance going on out there. As I watch a lot of these videos it looks like there is a lot of excessive pumping and twitching threw corners in order to make spray for the cameras. It wouldn't take many runs like this to rut everything up. If riders spray out of all of these burms, is there any trails left smooth after a week? Or am I just imagining this?
I think you're right; they're showing off for the camera a bit, but I also think part of the spray issue is that they ride at such super human speeds that their tires move dirt even without their intention. It also looked like some maintenance/building was being done at the beginning of the video, which is always good to see.
There is an element of showing off for the camera but as the guy above says , when you ride at warp factor 10 shits gonna fly either way.
Also some builders actually deliberatly leave corners loose to be roosted , I know I do .
What you don't know is that Linden is a builder and a lot of the trails featured here are ones he's built or maintains. Also when you live in an area that doesn't see droves of riders, these "extra" skids don't have the same result as heavier trafficked riding areas.
@Corona, your right! Brule, sorry man your talking out your ass! No doubt your friend can do what he wants with his trail, but it is easy to see that trail is trashed after only ONE video. And the bigger result is a lot of riding going on other trails tries to emulate that ROOST lust and berm busting (catchy i know). Again, you build it and maintain it...do whatever you want with your trail, but don't even try to argue that this style of riding is anything but trail maintenance disaster. @leelau, i am very surprised you would make the comment that you did. All the trail maintenance you have done over the years....and you seriously believe that because only a few riders are hitting the trail that this is ok? Really?
whoa whoa nature. I don't like the roosts and gratuitious cutties myself but the bottom line is that its his trail and if he wants to destroy it then it's his trail to destroy. As for other people getting the bad message; Im sympathetic to that too but let's face it - all these videos have gratuitous cutties. Bagging on linden isn't going to change anything.
i dunno who's riding that bike, but it is NOT james doerfling. that dude is clearly wearing a tshirt with sleeves on it... and we all know doerfling only wears tank tops for maximum "road rash? ain't nobody got time for that!" potential. what gives here? what is this demonry!?!?
Hey, Linden! Very impressive!! An extremely "top drawer" video. Your riding is such a pleasure to watch. Very fluid, strong and focussed. Also, pleased to hear you have inherited my love of Leppelin. Nice to see your talent and skills being honed in such a creative endeavor. Keep up the good work Linden, and your buddy did a great job too! Love you, M
Hi guys, This video looks awesome!!! Does someone know the trail's names and their exact locations? I will ride the Sunshine Coast this summer, and I'm looking for amazing trails in this area. Thank's for your help.
Damn heavy Led beats coming down those trails, screaming lines and thumping the turns. In the Misty Mountain comes down the Gods of wheel and chain! AAAAAAAH, AAAAAHHHH!
*Sigh* I don't think I will ever kick my addiction to loam and fresh track goodness! I kept on having to remind myself that they weren't on DH bikes...
Beautiful trails, absolutely shredding on trail bikes with loads of skill & style, great edit job, and excellent song choice....gotta hit the fav button for sure!!!
As much as I love to watch videos like this that are filmed/edited well, have great riders, great music... as soon as I see the berms getting f*cking exploded I am compelled to just turn it off..
1: Berms are made to be shredded and they don't have feelings. 2: Linden builds and maintains the trails in this video, so if anyone has the right to smash these berms, it's him.
If you build a berm, you have the right to roost it on film and any other time you want.
If you're a rider who doesn't dig, then you shouldn't be smashing up a trail builders' hard work.
^^ I wasn't really aware that the rider was the same one built these trails, must have missed that somehow. If that's the case then he can do whatever he likes on his trail
Hard rock - check
Canada - check
Doerfling - check
EPIC - DOUBLE CHECK!
This is like a sequel to Mining For Nugs.
