Trek Enduro Series 2013 #5 Tahko, Finals

This is the final Stage of the Trek Enduro Series for 2013. The day was out to test not only riders but bikes as well. Tyres were being punctured by the sharp marble rock. Which soon sent the rider for quick track side repair or the fast scurry down to the bottom of the track to replace the tyre or tube. This costing the rider time which effected there overall series position.

Juuso Pihlaja of Fillariosa.fi Racing Team, doing pre-race warm up. Juuso has been putting lots of efforts to this season and has done all the EWS races on European soil. That shows in results, finishing in fifth place today.

Spare tyres were a must !! For Tahko !!

The riders were making the most of the Autumn sun.

Ari Kurvinen led the race today. Taking 7 stage wins today. Lucky man, on stage number 8 smashed front wheel on the rock really hard. Severe dents on the rim and front brake started dragging, but luckily did not flat his tyre.

Sauli Hjerppe, the grand old man of Finnish MTB Enduro scene. Sauli has been spotted in the EWS races too. Today puncture on the stage number 9 dropped him from the podium.

Mikko Kupiainen, lots of winter practice in Spain seems to work for him. Mikko has shown good results in XC races too, and finishing 4th today.
