Rebecca Rusch challenged herself to conquer the iconic Kokopelli trail and to do it in record time. She surpassed her goal of 15 hours by almost 90 minutes. Now that Rebecca accomplished her goal, she's challenging you to take on your own 142-mile challenge and share your story.
Track, document and share your trip with Red Bull and via Twitter and Instagram for a chance to win Specialized Carbon Wheels or a guided trip down the Kokopelli Trail.
She's a monster and could eat me for breakfast and crush my brittle little bones! But, I don't think we ride "alone on the trail" in the same way. I don't have a support crew, film crew, helicopter, or champagne at the end. Sometimes a beer though...
Damn! too bad my femur will just barely be healed enough to start riding trails again in 3 weeks. Anybody wanna do a white rim lap from town this fall? That should be about 140 miles. The first time my bud talked me into a 100 miler in one day I didn't think I could do it, but with pacing and lots of safety breaks, I was feeling way better at the end than I thought possible. Had only been riding seriously for a couple years before tackling a White Rim Lap, lots of commuting helped though. All you "lazy" riders might be surprised what you can do. Start with 30 or 50, you'll get a second and third wind, then it just gets easier! **)
The voice over was a bit "self help", but great to see a high quality video focussing on the adventure aspect of MTBing. XC riding can make for exciting videos when the ride and the rider are interesting enough
I've just started training wish I had half of what she has . Amazing rider real strait to to point way of looking at her own rideing . Ride within yourself .
