Team InFocus in Calizzano "Le Giaire"

With temperatures below zero and the first little snowfalls in our home town, we decided to drive down all the way to the Ligurian Alps and spend the end of the season on the best trails in Europe. Our friends from the bike shuttle company "Le Giaire" in Calizzano invited us to their beautiful farm in the Ligurian coastal range. But it's not only the riding that is exceptional. The whole package is almost perfect: you get fantastic regional food, nice lodging and an exciting shuttle service to ride all the well maintained trails around.

This is where biker-dreams come true. At Raffaele's farm you get all the good stuff: perfect trails, the best food and all of that combined with an exceptional atmosphere. The shuttle starts every morning right outside the door. Even morning grouches will wake up during the first adventoruous shuttle rides to one of the 20 trails around.


If you are staying there for multiple days there are two options for lodging. You can either stay at the local campground which is free of charge or book one of the nicely renovated apartements inside the old farm.

One of our favourite trails is called "Il Pistino" and starts right on top of the local hill; 5 minutes away. Some people assume that this trail was the prototype for the construction of Whitlers famous A-Line. They came close!




Italy is well known for its great food. Also "Le Giaire" is no exception because Raffaele's wife supplies everyone with her regional, homemade delicacies. You eat in an former, renovated Pigsty, which once again contributes to the relaxed atmosphere.






The huge resort offers a great variety of trail-types. You can start with super flowy singletracks in the mornig, rip steep and tech downhill for lunch and end the day with an alpine freeride session.
