Oregon Enduro Series Announces New Camas WA Venue and Return of Ashland Super D

Apr 25, 2013
by Oregon Enduro
We are excited to announce an expansion of our series with the addition of our new 2013 Oregon Enduro Series venue in Camas, Washington, and the return of the famous Ashland Super D as an Oregon Enduro Bonus Race and the Oregon Super D State Championships.

Oregon Enduro Series Race #4 will be held on Sunday, July 14th at the Larch Mountain trail area north of Camas, WA. The Larch Mountain trail area includes the trails Cold Creek and Thrillium. This venue has spectacular views and world-class terrain. We would like to thank the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Cold Creek Mountain Bikers organization for their impressive work on building this great trail system and recreation area. The venue is a 45 minute drive from Portland Oregon, and approximately three hours from Seattle. The event will be a great addition to our premier Enduro series hosted throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The New Ashland Super D will be held on October 6th in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. Last year, this famous race was replaced with a multi-stage enduro, but Oregon Enduro management is proud to bring the event back. A Bonus Race to the series, the famous Ashland Super D is known for its 12-mile descent over a variety of amazing terrain--making it the one of world’s best Super D courses. The event will also double as the OBRA Oregon State Super D championships.

All of the Oregon Enduro Series sponsors will take part in the Super D, so there will be over $15,000 in cash and prizes for this individual Oregon Enduro Bonus Race.

Im so confused- downhill is 29" single-crown trailbikes with pedaly uphill bits and enduro is super flowy jump trails on triple crown 26ers? What is the world coming to?

It's just a reflection of how good the bikes are these days. You can ride all mountain bikes on almost any terrain. But....DH bikes are sooo damn fun Smile .

This trail is amazing. It's just across the Oregon boarder in Washington. There are two trails that are going to be used. Cold creek is all natural with tons of flow, roots, rocks, high speed both open and wooded. A real enduro trail! The other trail is trillium and it is definetely DH bike worthy. It's one of the best trails in the NW. Thank the trail builders cause they have done amazing job! The trail is loaded with huge berms, big gaps, roots, hero dirt rock gardens...legit! Think A-line/Dirt merchant but more natural. It's gonna best oregon enduro stop in my opinion. This is the real deal!

Trails look fun. And more Enduro races is a good thing. But a little weird the OR series organizers add a race in WA in the first year WA has its own series... Who knows, maybe I'm the only one that finds it odd.

Oregon Enduro Series + at least one race in Washington! Bring back Oakridge!!

Camas used to have some sweet DH trails right in town you could shuttle, right next to million dollar houses, almost 10 years ago. Are any of them still there? One area was littered with Sparks cans but there was a sick drop at the very top.

Yea it's still there a little bit. Most of it is a housing development now. But there's a couple trails and some jumps still.

yeah Ledbetter is right down the street from me. It is totally obliterated. Just a few areas still there with some people still maintaining them but it is no where to what it used to be. so sad, BUT Thrillium is not too far and sooooo much better!

Ledbetter is now mcmansions Frown

I think the idea was just to show the trails a bit to get people stoked... ya haters.

Nice. I like the superD format better. Might actually participate in that race. It is kinda strange that a Washington race is in the Oregon series, not that I care. Also seems like Oakridge should be in the series.

Stage format is better. Trust me.

Both Cold Creek and Thrillium rip. Great additions to the Oregon (or close enough) Enduro Series. My folks live real close to these trails. Can't wait to go up for this.

The N-Dub definately has the best riding in the country as far big mtns. tacky dirt, endless forests, and like minded people. The trails look sweet!
