Video: Trail Ninja - Southern Spain

Feb 5, 2014
by Dan Milner

Riding any new area is full of surprises, so the Trail Ninja series gives you the heads-up on how to dodge the pain and max the rewards of new trail-riding spots. In this episode pro photographer and all-round good egg Dan Milner escapes winter and heads to southern Spain to see what secrets can be discovered in the Sierra Espuña, a lesser-known mountain bike paradise only an hour inland from the Costa Blanca's boozy night clubs.

He finds tech trails and big climbs all bathed in warm sunshine. He also makes a few new friends along the way. Fast, loose riding and questionable sexual antics follow.

Brilliant, just spent some days at Gabo de Gata which by the looks of things is pretty similar in that mellow climbs if you want them and loads of fun loose trails down. Plus point also is that it is a place were The Good The Bad and The Ugly was filmed, also plenty of goats and donkey Dan.

Lets face it. You never ever crash. It's the malicious donkey who then occupies drunk your bed in the morning.
