 was it just me or was there something odd about CG's fox 40's......... just looked like an odd arch and lowers......cant be 2014 forks already?!?!?! hope him a speedy recovery anyhow

 I really really hope his hip isn't broken...that's a career ender possibly He's definitely been my favourite rider last/this year. Never takes himself seriously but still has speed and style for miles. Most certainly my vote for the most all around talented rider the sport has ever seen.

 I broke my hip in October 24th, it was shattered, I was back on my bike by February. I'm 42 so I'm sure CG will recover fine He definitely earns my respect week in and week out.

 i think that in second pic the guy was going for a new style trick!!!! I mean he probably saw CG do a suicide no hander or something and was like " dam i gotta step up the game!"

 What a bummer... I was floored to see his result in S. Africa at the start of the season, and was looking forward to seeing him throw down the rest of the season. He might have to pursue his "other" career as a pornstar now I guess.

 I hate how he is called the old man, he must be so annoyed with that title, he is not even 40.

 I hate how it's called a "broken hip". The hip is a joint between the acetabulum of the pelvis & the head of the femur. You can impact the femur into the joint which is the worst can scenario. but otherwise you could fracture your femur and your pelvis and heal quite well granted with maybe a few more metal bits than before.
You just can't really "break" a joint, you can dislocate it.

on another note I fractured my pelvis before and it healed like a dream! Although I can guarantee I wasn't going as fast as CG. I'll certainly miss his whips and knacks here & at Fort William! What an entertainer.

 No, it's not. I do too. The few times someone has got footage of ME crashing, I wanted to show it to everybody. If you don't go home with a medal, you can at least show people how you went down in flames.

 I think I'd seen Bulldog before, but the other two were new to me. I shoulda figured out that Cous Cous was Cousinie. Kinda funny that Cousinie's nickname is longer than her actual name.
