 Not really but whatever floats your boat. Some people are easily impressed. I been to dew tours, animal jams seen balistic airs, quad whips, 4trick combos, these dh pros would crap their pants to be honest. There are 20"ers that would laugh real hard at contest like this. We used to do whips as warm up on bigger jumps on 20" about 18 years ago. Just keeping it real but enjoy the show.

listen to the man chase hawk himself tell you about moto whips and where that originated. Then watch him do it better and more casual on real jumps with no gloves, helmet, nothin. You guys have alot to learn. Maybe less 29erds and more 20" if you want to really fly. Some people happy on the ground or spectating so do your thing. BTW there were a whole group of bmx riders that would have destroyed that corse and outscored those runs. Scotty Cranmer alone could destroy the whole fmb series no suspension.

 It is an intetesting agument but I think if you really met a real mtb pro he would tell you his skills all developed from riding bmx. Every trick mtb and moto x has been jacked off from bmx. Slopestyle is mtb kids acting like bmxers. You guys in way too deep lol. DH is all technology and mental tactics. Bmx is all that without the technology-suspension and still these bmx pros manage to out perform any mtb slope whatever. I seen bullshit street rides with bmx riders throwing down harder than any mtb rider. No cameras no helmet no bullshit. Bmx the real raw riders. Mtb is fun and guess what I been doing both for gazillion years. Have also seen bmx riders pickup a dh bike and blaze the shit off a mountain in two seconds. If you a bad mofo on a bike doesnt matter what size wheel or anything.

Here another one lets say your hero Semmenuk VS Dennis Enrson any track any slope any drop whatever, who wins. Yea your mtb guys are badass but they get smoked by these two bmxers I mentioned on any track. You dont understand these bmxers have super human powers. The slope stylists just trying desperately to emulate what they see the big boys of bmx doing. They badass riders in fmb tour but bmx on a whole diff level mtb cant f*ck with at all. They keep progressing every minute with the same bike. Mtb guys have scientists and data queers here try this slope style bike haaaaaaa gethafugouttahee.

 Ok hows this one, I have done runs with Gwin, Sam Hill, Steve Peat, I rode street with adam hauk, jeff lynowski, lars tribus and the list goes on and on. I smoked the whole Norco team at Mt Creek. Have also rode with the animal crew, the scavenger crew, Scotty Cranmer, Ryan Guetler. Have you rode with anyone like that? Didnt think so. It was all very impressive and great experience for me but the bmx crews outshined the mtb riders far and beyond. Its not even comparable. The mtb guys go big and do their thing. The bmx guys go just as big on no suspension on concrete and throw 4 trick combos. I can go on for days explain this to you so feel free to keep getting insulted. Loving it haaaaaaaa

I've ridden bmx for over ten years, ridden dh for two. You didn't smoke the Norco team.  Actually I own 4 mtbs and one 20" and one cruiser 24" if you want to look down my pants thats going to cost you. The closest you going to get to bmx style is adam hauk and aron chase, maybe lynowski. I rode with all three at the banks, in the street, central park, Mt Creek, Plattekill. Those guys do it big but if you have rode with real ass bmx crews like I have you would understand certain things are not possible on an mtb. The bmx guys blaze you in two seconds. Dont even understand how they boost soo high or do the combos. Thats really what sets them appart. Mtb guys do a trick. Bmx doing 3,4,5 tricks on same jump, and going faster+bigger. I a witness to many a street throwdown you newjacks dont know who you dealing with. Its all good everyone freeriding-how you see the corse. Adam Hauk is a real badass and he up there with alot of the bmx cats. The big name pro bmxers would blow his doors off, keepin real.

 Ya run away tender foot. Wait Creek lool phantom drop thats that bichazz drop, honestly I fall asleep riding Creek, that spot is laim. I more into the rough stuff. You can see me at Plattekill Mountain any weekend. Norco team was at Creek 5 years ago when it used to have a good flow. They dont flow like me because thats my backyard. I know every rock on the mountain, they first time there. Sure they going to beat me in a race but freeriding on my terrain, now your in my domain. Results could be in my favor given the thousands of hours I have over them at that spot.

 I'm a spinner not a flipper in the skatepark. Dirtjumping I do a race style from my bmx racing background but we used to do that trick game like they did on here recently. Pull the trick or you out. I usually make it pretty far, decent amount of tricks but my friends all pro bmxers so they always win. I been bouncing off the walls on any size bike for about 25 years. Raced road, xc,bmx,dh,shot huge canons you name it I try every ride at the park. Tangable dh results haaaa ya I smoke the biggest spliff on the other mountain while race going on. Then hit the biggest chunkiest lines available. I'm a freerider, racing is what I did as a kid. Now would rather ride whatever trail I want. Dont worry you going to see me, might have already rode with me and not even know it. I get around east west south ct ma I got fam everywhere.

 Rodramsey, it's obvious you're either stupid or just trolling, but any point you think you have is null by the fact that the moto whip contest is a part of the X-Games. Moto guys go f*cking massive, the world record is almost 4 times the size of the world record on a bmx. Moto sucks at vert terribly, not designed for it, and still has the world record for a quarter pipe, not your pussy ass bmx. Bmx can't even hope to compete with moto. "Whoa this guy just got 30' of air!!", yeah, kids on 80's do that on dirt bikes.

The whip is a staple of riding and that will never change. It doesn't look good on a bmx because those baby bikes are so tiny it takes only a thought to move them around, but when you take something like a dirt bike or a downhill bike that is capable of handling the toughest terrain out there and move it around in the air it looks amazing and takes alot of skill.

Bmx bikes are for kids. They're easily thrown around and they are completely incapable of handling true to life terrain in the dirt. Real riding entails speed and going over natural terrain, not going to some fancy little concrete or wood park made perfectly smooth so children can play on it with their baby bikes. Take a bmx down a dh trail or hit a natural 60' gap through the trees on a bmx bike, then we'll talk. Hell, ride ANYTHING natural on a bmx bike, then we'll talk. While you girly kids are grooming runs to make them smoother, we're building rock gardens to make our runs even rougher than mother nature.

But it's ok, wearing girl pants, riding child sized bikes, and being the most feminine athletes in the world isn't for everyone, you guys certainly have a role to fill.

 downhilladdict, the world record on a downhill bike is well over 100 mph and the faster tracks on the WC have guys going over 60 mph. There was a video on here awhile ago where they attached a speedometer to the racers and they all went over 60 mph.

 Yeah the fastest was on snow and it was like 220 kph. Fastest on the dirt was 170 or 180 kph. And I assume you're right about Pietermaritsburg, I honestly can't even remember which track I was watching where they had the speedometers hooked up.
