Waterloo Cycling Club needs your support

The Waterloo Cycling Club is in the process of designing a 7.5 acre Freeride Park in the City of Kitchener. We intend to build a four cross course, a dirt jump park, a trials area as well as several courses through wooden structures. The WCC Freeride Park will be built and maintained entirely by volunteers. The park will be located within McLennan Park, in Kitchener, which is currently being reorganized and updated to reflect and serve the growing community that surrounds it.This cycling facility will be open to all riders at no charge and should draw riders from across the province. We will be applying for an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant (http://www.trilliumfoundation.org/) to fund this project. Part of the application for this grant asks us to measure the need of such a facility and how it would benefit our community and its citizens.

This is where YOU come in! We need you to sign our on-line petition to show that there is a demand for such a facility. In addition, since this park will be built and maintained by volunteers we need your email address on the petition. We will be building a database of email addresses so that we can get your help to build and maintain the park.

Go to www.wccfreeride.ca to check out the progress so far, sign our online petition (We are looking to get 1000 signatures!), and send us your comments / images on what you want to see at this park.

This is going to be a truly unique park in southern Ontario so come check us out and be a part of something special!

Please sign it! KW, and southern Ontario, for that matter, needs a place to ride like this! About time it was mentioned on Pinkbike! Even if you're from out of town, this place will be well worth the drive! Sign the petition!
