Lola
Proceeds from the Dunbar Summer Series will go to the Love for Lola Fund, which will assist with my daughter’s rehabilitation. Lola is recovering from life-threatening viral encephalitis, which she was infected with in 2008. As a result, she has an acquired brain injury which involves her brain stem and has left her unable to speak, and experiencing several seizures daily. Lola has re-learned to eat, play, walk, and run and receives OT, PT, and Speech through GRIT Calgary Society. She has a long way to go to regain more of her lost abilities. Proceeds from this race will assist with her daily care, weekly music therapy, and any other therapeutic tools that will aid in her recovery. Her story is posted at Love For Lola

I really connect with the first guy because I also compete in all the collegiate events on the same bike for my school in Vermont. This past fall was my first season of college racing, so I was pretty mediocre, but it's cool to see someone racing both XC and DH on one bike, and being able to be competitive with it. Send it Jean-Charles!

 Riding in a hail storm:
I'm not sure how I've never done it before, but that was wild. The hail was SO LOUD in my helmet... very distracting

Not to mention you are one of a small group of riders left who downhill in Penticton, let alone race! Because of that we have build our own trails, maintain them, train and give back to the community as much as possible. Given those factors keeping the dream alive is a full time job in itself! I'm stoked for you man!! There will be more edits this summer for sure!! Keep on progressing and killing it! The 25 foot gaps and new gnarly lines don't build themselves!!
