This event last night was ok. it says "the world's best" i highly disagree. its was basically a no foot can-can and no hander sessison. there were only a few big tricks thrown. i believe i saw maybe one or two 360 tailwhips, niether were smooth. and people seem to think backflips are sooo amazing when yea they look ok, but they arnt that hard of a trick. the only time they were good is when guys did them off of the gravity drop, props to that. there where afew good riders that did stick out though.

p.s i have never seen more casing in my life!!!
it should be called the Wham Bam Lets Case Every Jump Jam.

Yeah, I have to agree. I was not very impressed with the comp last night. There were a few big names, i.e. Chase, Cam and Tyler McCaul, Kirt Vories, Watts, Jamie Goldman, etc., but with most of the guys, I kept asking, "Who's that?" It is always cool to see some local rippers and upcoming guys, but there was no ripping to be seen. Yeah, big flips off the drop in, and Cam McCaul had one clean 360 whip (it was on the final run of the night, second hit), but most the stuff was fairly modest (oh, one more exception, props to Goldman for trying the frontflip of the first double, after fliping the drop). No one was going big because the jumps weren't big. I mean, come on, thats the same size line you and your buddies have in your backyards. Fun time with people, always cool to see a few of the big names, but some websites and promoters blew it way out of proportion. And what was all that stuff I read about it being a slopestyle event? Anybody else see that?

So you are saying this is not SlopeStyle? There wasn't much of a slope, eh? Before last night the closest thing I've ever seen to this was freestyle moto-cross and I have to say I think it's way cooler.

Anyway, I had a good time and shot some video and called it slopestyle (maybe somebody should define it on wikipedia)

Its called The WamBamThankYouJam because the first one was a bowl event in Washington. Not sure about the wam bam, but the ThankYou part was because the riders, and event promoters were thanking people, like the guy who built the bowl, for supporting the sport.

Are you inquiring after the name because you've never heard the expression "Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am" before, or because you're looking for deeper meaning in the phrase? It seems pretty simple to me; and I like it.
