The long-awaited freeride mountain bike film, Where The Trail Ends, has finally arrived. On September 19th, 2012, Red Bull Media House and Freeride Entertainment will premiere their latest cinematic creation in The Pearl Theatre at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. A red carpet treatment will greet athletes and VIP’s beginning at 8:30PM, followed by the 9:00PM big screen launch of the most progressive and groundbreaking mountain bike movie of the past decade.
Tickets can purchased here, and the first 1,000 moviegoers to pick up their tickets will receive a limited edition issue of Decline Magazine that includes a special LCD video display inside.

//pinkbike beginning at 8:30PM PST. Witness interviews with the athletes, filmmakers and special guests on the red carpet by none other than host Sal Masekela, then follow the cameras inside with the crowd to catch the introductions and watch the film live as it premieres to the world. If viewers miss any of the excitement, the entire live stream loop, including all the red carpet antics and the film in its entirety, will be broadcast continuously for 24 hours allowing everyone a chance to view what might be the most influential big mountain riding film ever.
Where The Trail Ends is the culmination of three years of travel to the farthest reaches of the globe, including the Andean foothills of Salta, Argentina, China’s challenging Gobi Desert, Nepal’s near-secret Mustang region, the unexplored shorelines of British Columbia’s Fraser River and Virgin, Utah - big mountain freeriding’s birthplace, and punishing proving grounds.
Where The Trail Ends’ storyline follows professional mountain bikers Darren Berrecloth, Cameron Zink, Kurt Sorge, James Doerfling, Andreu Lacondeguy and another half dozen of the world’s top freeriders in an extraordinary chronicle of exploration, chaos and culture, set amongst some of the globe’s most harrowing and remote natural landscapes.
Freeride Entertainment’s crews created the project’s remarkably compelling tone, footage and narrative using the most advanced filmmaking and sound equipment ever used in the outdoor adventure sport genre. An array of transportation tools including jet boats, helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, as well as the riders themselves, helped provide a variety of unique perspectives for the audience. Partnerships with
Contour, hands-free HD video cameras, and Specialized Bikes were vital to the project’s success.
Where The Trail Ends will be available on DVD, Blu-ray™ and iTunes beginning September 21st. For more information, visit

"I wish I had a granny!"
People ride skis and snowboard. They take it serious and non-seriously as well. Watch the art of flight amongst many others.
Why shouldn't pro bikers be serious when they are risking their asses in the middle of China with no med-evac if something goes wrong. Even then they were still having fun and messing around.
So no, biking films shouldn't take cues from skateboard films. Most skateboard films are the epitome of douchebaggery.
I think you need to look up the definition of "douche" because you're using it in the wrong sense completely
Grow up
Dusted - Property Lines
Anyways, thanks red bull for this free movie, but I was expecting a little more
To the guy that threw his shit down the mountain, you look like a f*cking prick...respect all the free shit you get so you don't look like a douche to all the people who would kill to own the things you get from your sponsors
Its like the Nickleback of mountain bike movies.
Also didn't enjoy seeing that TLD helmet getting thrown down the hill in a child-like tantrum. Should have been edited out IMO.
Don't get me wrong, people, I'm not a hater but I've seen many far better MTB movies over the years. A movie like Follow Me, which switches from discipline to discipline is far more gripping to a majority audience, I think.
All that said, thanks again to Redbul, FR entertainment and Pink Bike for sharing! I just don't think I'll be purchasing this one on DVD.
@ drSanchez, I have no idea what point you are trying to make, but I think its a shitty one haha
Just kidding buddy
And Bam looks bloated and strung out and will hopefully OD or wrap his car around a tree. And god willing he will that flake with him...
This is one of the best riders in the world, and he had a very human moment, dealing with that line and what something similar did to him before... That is not indulgence or child-like behavior, honestly; to me it shows that even though we see him crash in other edits, this is a moment where he loses that professional edge and has to deal with the inner fury that goes with it.
Film? Cool, but glad this shot was free... I'll buy it on Blu-ray later on when it's price has been dropped or something.
Getting to see this before Rampage? Perfect.
Simply put, get over yourselves. It sucks when any sport becomes more popular that it attracts a higher volume of douches that love to hate on other mtbers just because they love to ride, portray or act a different way than the douches do. Hell I really didn't enjoy Clay Porter's latest film but I'm not going around calling it a terrible movie or a bunch of jock, energy bar racers... you get the idea. If you really have passion for this sport then hating on people who mtb whether if they're pushing the sport or not in their own unique vision, isn't an option. You're one insecure clown, Sanchez.
i prefer more real films like seasons, follow me or even the NWD series.
Gapers say the damn-dist things...
what are the realistic chances that the chinese government are going to allow people to start hitting those ranges? no doubt redbull through a shed load of cash at that to get through the red tape.
what i am saying is after all the hype i expected a more multi faceted exploration of contemporary mountain biking.
instead what they did could have been documented in about 15mins.
bully for them if they get to do that for a living but its hardly accessible aspiration.
We can have fun , but we really don't need to turn biking into that. It's not like every movie after this is going to be serious
It was just this one so far that took the cake.
"YEA BREW"
You are such a clown.
oh you silly goose

Hey, utah is sick, let's find more places like utah. Dang, china is pretty rad, lets go to canada. Sweet also sick, lets go bakc to "china" but a different part this time, that was not as sick, maybe south america has some better riding. Ok, now THAT was sick. Let's go back to utah and make sure it's still sick, yup, still rad. Hey, ya'll want to head back to that first place in China, i bet it is still sick. Bingo bango, still rad. Zink's intro sucked too, i think he was the only rider they showed biffing hard in the intro.
Entire movie recapped.. Also, not sure if it was the player or what, but i thought cinematography sucked as well. all the locations looked the same and had about as much color variety as mars, in addition to a lot of footage being shot with the riders in deep shaddows where you couldn't see them at all (the two things may be worsened by the player, hard to tell with such shit quality) overall unimpressed by the movie, i would take a sit through seasons or roam any day of the week.
all in all, its far from the worst movie I've seen, and far from "groundbreaking" status like they were claiming it would be. The riding was insane when they were actually showing it. but watching it once was enough for me, will not be buying it.
i preferred that last vid they released, the making-of one, that was more watchable,
amazing effort from all involved but i bet they could recut this film to be less pompous, show more of the local people and the fun side of things, too serious, too slow
For what it's worth, Kurt Voreis' section in Invermere from NWD 10 has to be one of my favorite sections of all time.
Let's watch something raw with good music and appropriate use of slo-mo:

Voreis' segment from NWD 10 was unreal, made me want to go shred my local trail and try to emulate his speed style and power - talk about inspiring. then I got to meet the guy and ride on his tail as part of his allride tour, and was stoked on a whole 'nother level...
I do think it was an EXTREMELY ambitious project and hats off to the filmmakers for the vision, and to the riders for risking their lives so far from amenities. If one aspect of the movie was groundbreaking for MTB films, it was the logistical accomplishment of filming and riding is such incredibly foreign (in all senses) places.
F*ck the computer because now I will ride my f*cking damn Bike UNTIL MY LIFE ENDS!
LETS GO FOR A RIDE PEOPLE!
This movie gave to me all the adrenaline that I need to make me get out of me home and go RIDE
Enjoy!!
Regardless, thanks to PB for the host and all who contributed to the production of the film.
And how does NASCAR have anything to do with anything remotely related to this? But if you have to bring it up this movie had no variety and felt like a continuous left turn. Dirt chute, dirt chute, dirt chute, oh another dirt chute. Remember this: www.pinkbike.com/news/Dolomite-Climb-Ride-Video-2012.html
Now that is WAY BIGGER big mountain riding than anything we saw in this movie.
I guess the point I wanted to make was, and I'm going to paraphrase Daniel Tosh: Because someone has a difference of opinion than you, you felt personally attacked instead of focusing on a bigger issue, why do you like shitty movies? ;-)
You're the hater for defending a product that has fallen so massively short of the mark.
Oh, and as a final point- Red Bull probably generated more cash when Vettel won the Singapore F1 race yesterday than they spent on this whole production. I reckon they can cover it.
I wouldn't mind if it was a link you could click on to watch it, that'd be cool. But to be forced to close it? Had to be a better way.
defo on a par with lifecylces.. dont know if any movies will be as good as Roam/Seasons for me..
its a pretty high bar!!
Jimmy not feeling well not going to school today :/
you are welcome!

I mean Bam Margera was awesome, but do we need to look like an freakin bunch of goons when doing epic stuff like this?
that's just wrong, is that it?? that's all of it?? I got myself preped for like 4 hours of shredding I was getting so in to that film then absolutely gutted . your all shite.
