10 Hours Daily at the Whistler Bike Park

Whistler bike park is like heaven on earth for a mountain biker. This place has got it all; dirt jumps, rock slabs, skinnies, you name it. Everyone can have a blast!

10 Hours Daily at the Whistler Bike Park

Riding every day seems like a dream come true. Nothing is better than getting up every morning and going for a ride down the sweetest trails.

Whistler bike park is no place for ST tires

But riding in Whistler isn't all fun... Your bike can tell that story... After just two days of riding, your bike will feel like it's falling apart. If you're running ST tires, you'd be changing tires more often then your underwear!

10 Hours Daily at the Whistler Bike Park

Often you get off easy with just a couple of minor broken parts like gear cables or something. But are you looking to spend the summer in Whistler, be sure to have a lot of money by your hand.

10 Hours Every Day

Having the park open 10 hours daily makes it even better.

10 Hours Daily at the Whistler Bike Park

We usually go for a morning ride then when it got too hot to ride, we go for a swim in Lost Lake, only a ten-minute ride away from the lift! Then come back, get something to eat and hit the park later in the day!

The park has some really mint tech trails but there is nothing like riding down A-line or Dirt Merchant doing nothing else than throwing scrubs and whips!

38C/100F with smoke so thick you can hardly see across the street isn't the most pleasant of weather to ride in!

@mdhorner: I was there during Crankworx. There was no smoke or forest fires. It was in the 60's to low 80's Fahrenheit there during the day. I don't know what they were talking about.

 @mdhorner: I'm just jealous anyways.

I was there the week before Crankworx and it was smoky as hell and 95 every day. @slayitlikeabadhabit:

@slayitlikeabadhabit: Lived up there from early June to a few days ago. Crankworx wasn't too bad after the first couple days. Rain and wind drove the smoke out a bit but before that it was terrible, people were riding with bandanas and a few had full on gas masks on. Worst fire year for BC ever.

I live WNC and went to whistler last month. What people don't realize is even when temperatures are similar, the humidity in WNC just pulls the energy out of your body like nothing else. Whistler felt nice and cool compared to WNC
  • + 2
Or come to Palenque, México. Ride at 50°C with humidity around 90%.
  • + 1
Are there mountains in NC? lol
  • + 2
I was up in BC in July. Half the reason I went was to escape the heat of Colorado. It ended up being 15 F hotter in BC. Razz

Humid too. But as previously noted I'm from Colorado so anything over 20% humidity is humid to me.

@dbodoggle: ummm....are you that dumb?Sounds like you don't know shit.

Man that is brutal!!!

@nug12182: I would actually love to come check out NC riding. Sorry if my joking hit a sensitive spot.
  • + 1
@nug12182: at least in Avery/Watauga/Ashe Co, the temps don't tend to get much over 80 if at all, but dang... for some reason that Asheville area gets stuffy.
  • + 0
@nug12182: those are barely mountains, be humble

I almost killed myself there after a week! (Not really, but it was my worst wreck ever. Got a bit too rowdy on Dirt Merchant) with some Squamish trail riding mixed in. A whole month riding all day every day sounds amazing but I'd be a hurting unit. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat though.

i've been to whistler 3 time. my credit card will tell you it was well worth it.
  • + 5
And more rich kids. Don't get sick of that in whistler....
  • + 1
Lol I didn't get these options when I was a lad
  • + 2
So you're in whistler and bitching about your life? Sounds rough. Probably hard explaining to everyone how hard your life is.
  • + 1
@dfiler: never said life was hard, I said it was smokey. Air quality was bad enough that they cancelled work for me. f*ck off your high horse pal.
  • + 3

your kids are trees? is your wife a tree? If so they should probably all stay planted in your yard or where ever you keep them.
