Aaron Gwin, back and looking fast during his first race run after a knee injury that required surgery this off-season. Great insights with the GPS telemetry on the GoPro too!
@hpiguy: Fundamentalist said it right, he means that his speed is low, Gwin's speed is high. So in that regard, he would be way better if it was like golf. Fundamentalist didn't say anything about time, only speed.
@jimmythehat: for Fundamentalist, his speed is low, like 3 mph, or in other terms, a birdie! This way Gwin's "score" (speed) is 27 to 30, you'd get laughed off the course with a 27 on one hole! So wake up, practice your putting, and leave going slow to us experts!
Well it looked like a race run at the top, and on the track. But what happened at the bottom? Looked like he was going to just load up his bike in his truck and go home!
@jimmythehat: holy crap dude, if you're going to correct, know of what you speak! "So Cal" Southern California, hello (that was me tapping on your hat) Jimmie!
Sorry, maybe dumb question. Is that a standard feature on the GoPro? I assume top models? That is pretty interesting. I'd be interested in one of those above just a regular video of riding. Thanks. Help be great.
@dirtbag420: the garmin virb xe has had the gps telemetry for about two years already with ant sensor compatibility also so can display heart rate , cadence, power output etc aswell as speed g force distance etc, its ace
@jrocksdh: not sure of the name or the exact procedure. but from his instagram from ten weeks ago he says "Had a minor knee surgery to remove a lose piece of cartilage that's been buggin me for a few months."
I feel like I would have been bleeding out of my Eyeballs if I experience speed like that. He was moving lightning fast down those rock gardens. That was like true no brake riding right there.????????
Every section of those rocks at the top felt like reckless abandon by Gain just flying over and nailing it, where as I would go where's the line? Why he's a champ!
After he passed that rider in front of him, I was seriously thinking, that he may pass even more riders till finish. Luckily for them the track wasnt longer..
@teebeeess: Agree. No matter how good or how slow you are, if you give it your all on the wall, you get the Fontana hack for the next 12-24 hours, coughing up interesting things.
Or being the guy in front of the guy in front of Gwin. "Hopefully he doesn't pass me!"
Only a few people can legitimately say that. Think it's more of "Wonder where he'll pass me at"
Eyeballs if I experience speed like that. He was moving lightning fast down those rock gardens. That was like true no brake riding right there.????????
Coudl've been the difference between 1st and 2nd
