Something tells me he's ridden here before

Bike looks very composed under the rider, but will it make me look that good???

 unrideable with that oldschool geo
  • 8 0
@funkzander: as clearly shown in the video
  • 3 0
actually what the video shows is that old school geo is beneficial for the type of riding done in the video. Shorter top tubes and reach are good for jumping and tight winding trails
  • 4 0
@Ryanrobinson1984: it was meant to be sarcastic...have a bike with almost same geo...cant get along with too extreme modern geo of mega reach
  • 1 0
 @funkzander: oh, haha! My bad

Best 2 mins of riding I've seen a while...tip top! Now if only I had that kinda cash...

I'm just trying to figure out how he went so fast without a long, low and slack geometry. Mind boggling.
  • 10 2
imagine how fast he would be if...
  • 8 0
and 29er wheels... I'll get my coat.

So much style...awesome video...and for people who know Whinlatter, that left berm could have gone very wrong, considering if you go over the edge, you will probably never come back!? lol

I can't believe he's not wearing a full face... The bike should not dictate the helmet!
  • 1 0
I was hoping someone would say that's where these trails are... I'm heading there in a few weeks to ride. Stoked!
  • 2 1
@Fresh1: It's not all Whinlatter just to warn you. Whinlatter is just the trail centre bits in the middle. Others who actually live there will perhaps chip in (there's some suggestions elsewhere in the comments as to where the other bits are filmed) but if the riding at the start is what you wanted you'd probably be better with a guide than rocking up to a trail centre... Fwiw Whinlatter is OK - it's not my favourite trail centre - but it is miles better than the other trail centre in the Lakes. Neither trail centre is thought of massively highly, although I've not been to either for a few years. The natural riding is the better option imho... Enjoy your trip!

@slimboyjim: the bit i was referring to, from 1m.10 is at Whinlatter and if he had gone over that left berm, it is a huge drop...other bits are around the Lakes...
  • 1 0
@gbcarmona: Yeah - I was just worried that @Fresh1 might turn up at Whinlatter expecting to ride everything on the video. I didn't want him to end up having a very disappointing day out on the bike, particularly if he's limited time in the Lakes...
:-)

@slimboyjim: Thanks for the info! My plan is just to ride the best trails I can in 2-3 days in the Lakes, so I'll move around from day to day if need be. Sounds like Whinlatter and Rosswaithe "off piste" are both pretty good bets...

@Fresh1: No problems buddy! Best of luck with the weather ;-)

@Fresh1: First half of the video is catbells descent into grange and the descent down from watendlath
  • 7 0
 Pfffff.... This is photoshopped....
  • 6 1
That made me a bit hot under the collar!

The return of coil suspension. "Recoil", maybe?
  • 2 0
Insane style and smooth riding, but why are those other 2 guys and the chick in there...? Couldn't figure it out and was waiting for some kind of sick Adam takeover the whole time.
  • 3 0
Pretty sure it was to contrast their weaker skills to his shreddiness
  • 2 0
Looks like wharnscale on the decent too although i could be wrong hes going that fast its hard to tell .absolutly rapid down there.great video

Was thinking the Boredale Hause near Ullswater or Rosthwaite decent on the Borrowdale bash loop.
  • 1 0
Bit of Whinlatter in there for good measure!
  • 2 0
 It's the descent into rosthwaite/

@thenotoriousmic: Knew I'd ridden it. Reckon it'd look at 10x slow speed at my pace.

First half of the video is catbells descent into grange and the descent down from watendlath, miiddle section is whinlatter and last bit is private tracks
