Good stuff! Tumbler ridge was an interesting choice... Out of the way and not known for its mountain biking (although granted it is an amazing area). Plenty of very high class riding to be had in pg and Williams lake where the time investment:payoff ratio would be much better.
Whitehorse and carcross are all time though - best to spend as much time there as possible!
My guess it was closer to Dawson and the start of the Alaska highway. If they had headed West Burns Lake and Smithers offer great riding too, including an epic alpine traverse in Smithers.
@kylemciver: that's the odd thing though, any way you cut it tumbler is an extra hour out of the way. Good showcase of tumbler, but strange. I agree about burns and Smithers though - some of the best riding around. I hope they head down that way and hit it up!
I just came back from three weeks in the Yukon.
Hit the last wed of the the year lift access at mt. Sima in Whitehorse , rode Montana MTN at carcross, and money shot trail on grey mountain. ETC..... Both LBS are a super cool and helpful. Can't wait for my next trip up.....
Mountain Hero is all time! We took our time getting to the top, which ended up being about 5 hours..... but oh so worth it. Such beautiful landscapes and that trail is just too good. I think about it at least once a week
Can't wait to see what these guys hit in AK. I live in Anchorage, we have some epic rides up this way. I'll stay tuned to see where they ride. Lost Lake? Resurrection Pass? Kincaid?
Yup! This will definitely be interesting to see where they decide to shred. It would be neat if they stopped by Healy, Government Peak/Hatchers. Also the Dome trail should have all of the grass laid down by the time they get here so that would be a sick trail for them to hit as well.
Awesome video! Should have made a stop in Fort St. John, the boys and I have been building a handful of trails for the past few years. Lots of nugs, definitely worth a visit!
