Following the huge success of Yellowhead's first Velosolutions pump track, We headed back to Alberta to bring the count up to 5. Two brand new asphalt tracks have recently been completed in both Peers and Marlboro and the local community can't wait to get the sessions going this summer.

"Arriving there, it seemed like these villages had no kids living there... but every day we met more and more kids all excited to try their new pump track. We are always surprised to see how many kids can live in a 10 street town." Annie Methot - Velosolutions Canada

There is no rest for the Velosolutions Canada crew, however!! Next stop Nanaimo, BC for an incredibly special project - The Stevie Smith Memorial Park.

For more information on any of our pump tracks, bike parks or up coming projects you can get in touch at:

What's the maintenance schedule and costs like? Looks like a smart move for municipalities compared to dirt. Though it's easier to change up dirt if you get bored of the current set up.

So far pretty minor. Keeping the surrounding grass watered and happy has been the biggest hassle so far. Some sweeping of dirt and gravel, litter pick up etc. The asphalt surface is pretty much set and forget.

Does the constant freeze\thaw cycle not kill these pumptracks? Would love one in Saskatchewan but it seems like it would be cracking like mad.

So far so good, compactable gravel base and raised above the frost line.

Curious what one these costs. I imagine it's quite variable. Are we talking $100K? 200K?

Ask for a quote, talk to your city representative and make it happen in Montreal Smile By the way, all those builders are from Quebec City, right next to our door!
