We all know that one rider who can flick the switch and will well and truly put your riding ability to shame, I think every group of riders has that one guy who does the biggest drop off's or is capable of putting five seconds into your times. In my experience that person was Joel, when I felt my fastest I had this cheeky kid buzzing on Coca Cola putting in big time gaps against me. To make it even more frustrating he didn't train anywhere near a much as I did, he was making all his time in the turns.

Charging

Then we became good friends and training partners, if I could learn from his riding techniques he could learn from my training techniques. He is a local legend in the Cwmcarn and the South Wales area, still yet to shine on the World Cup circuit but that time is nearing. See for yourself in his latest edit.

The tracks through the open field at the start look like endless fun and the tree dodge at 1:43 was mental.

Enduro? I've been riding like this for 25 years....

Haven't you got the memo, normal trail riding and going downhill is now considered enduro by everyone and their dog. You can't simply say I am going riding, you have to say I am going enduro'ing. Enduro is the new "All Mountain" Smile .

If he was running Di2 and shocks with automatic settings that tire failure would not have happened.

/sarcasm

We seriously need to solve our tire situation in MTB, because I fell like it truly is the weakest link in our system.

I LOVE his riding style. Form follows function? Looks like his bike is quite large for his height maybe? Also i couldn't tell if he was clipped in or not as he was going to fast.

Time to start rethinking travel my friend.
  • 1 0
 ts the AM (160mm)
But im sure he could do this just as well on the 130mm TR too
  • 1 0
Was using an AM and now a TR. The TR doesn't feel like a 130mm bike at all. Having said that what this guy did was totally awesome
