She probably rides faster than me on a hardtail than I do on a downhill bike.

I was just thinking the same, she's faster on her 29'er hardtail than most pinkbikers are on their DH bike haha

Go see the wc live and you may change your mind. Obviously you wont be able to keep up with them on a race or full lap. but just going down... yes. Dont need the dh bike, xc can do it.

I go to Windham every year and watch both the XC and DH racing. I'm well aware of how fast or slow the riders look. My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. At the end of the day, she's fast. She is a great rider, and is likely faster than a LARGE portion of the people here. Likely you included. Up or down.

mmm,,, fast... Like 16 y.o. Youth league fast? Because the times are the same. I definitely go down faster, no doubt about it.
Will not comment on other personal aspects... Don't want to blow the bubble for many... Best xc women racers for me are jolanda and Eva... These are the real life eb...

The Porsche ruins it for me...

Yep. It's a lightweight puff-piece that is quite painful to watch. I admire Emily's riding ability very much but the whole Porsche thing is gag inducing and the gratuitous butt-shots, although appreciated, seem to me very vacuous.

So true, I have so much want for; her, the trails, the bikes, the Porsche, the house with a pool. Shall I leave my number??

Every time I watch one of these shorts about Emily I just feel better about life. These really capture how I feel about riding and how she is a real person with a really cool job and passion. And I noticed Adam produced these which is awesome too. These are the videos I will show the people I meet that want to race and get better as riders and people.

These edits are a great insight into a great athlete.

She is sooo smooth and flowy through those sections. We get used to people smashing big bikes with dropped saddles but that was just...clean.

Congratulations to the marketing geniuses at Trek. I was never really interested in one of their bikes before I watched these videos.

Pretty lady check, pizza check, beer check, cool dog check, porshe check, bikini trek fire friends family and surgery check. Thats exactly the reason WHY.

A dropper post was game changing for me on the descents. Why don't XC riders use one? The weight penalty? XC racers should at least test using a dropper vs static. The seat stuck up your bum sucks.

Why would you want to drill a finger???
  • 15 1
If you have a pressure buildup under your nail (usually blood or puss) then you have to relieve the pressure. One of the best ways is to drill through the nail, this lets the liquid that is building up to vent and relieves the pain from the pressure. I have had it done a few times and it really works....even though it sounds horrible...lol.

Would a hot needle not have been safer?
  • 6 1
I just heat up a safety pin and push it through, A drill seems like a little overkill!
  • 1 0
Yeah a hot needle or a cannula would be a bit safer and just as easy. Had to do it a few times for people at work as the pressure can be pretty unbearable.

 She seems so chilled oot.
  • 1 0
She looks much better riding 27.5; the bike is nice and nimble underneath Her while assuring confidence as the video shows.
