Andrew is considered one of the pioneers of the free ride-scene and is one of few mountain bikers that are recognized all over the world.

Andrew raced downhill when a lot of today’s free riders were in nappies. He holds two DH World Cup gold’s, one Bikercross X Games gold and is multiple time National DH Champion. Shandro began by pushing the limits of mountain biking and has starred in numerous films such as: The Collective, Roam and Seasons.”I first saw the POC brand on the world cup ski circuit. After doing a little more research I was very impressed with the technology that goes in to their helmets and protection. POC is a very innovative company. I’m excited to have a formed a partnership. Through my free ride camps in Whistler ”Summer Gravity Camps” it’s a perfect venue to showcase POC to the free ride / DH world.” Says Andrew

Nowadays Shandro runs hugely successful Summer Gravity Camps where he teaches kids and adults new tricks. Andrew is our senior athlete and will be involved in our product development.

”Whistler, being the hub of today’s downhill and free ride scene, we needed the presence and the best local competence, for further progress and product development. Through mutual friends we got in contact with Andrew. I am extremely thankful to be able to collaborate together with Andrew who materializes our needs, both as an athlete as well as being a great, innovative and creative personality.” Says Stefan Ytterborn CEO POC

I just wish they'd get on and release their summer gear! The gear looks cool and pretty much on a par with Dainese, but they've been chatting about it for nearly a year now - the website still says coming soon, but we're no closer to seeing actual products on shelves! C'mon POC...some of us (who've recently smashed up a Dainese lid) need a new one pronto!
