WMBA Fat Tire Festival 2003

On Sunday, June 1, at the Blue Mountain Reservation in Peekskill, NY the Westchester Mountain Bike Association brings you the 2003 WMBA Fat Tire Festival. Event runs from 10am - 5pm and all proceeds support the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Westchester.


Events this year include "The Wheelie Race" , Manufacturer Demos and and much much more....

The Hickory & Tweed Cannondale Bicycle Poker Rally


The Hickory & Tweed / Cannondale Bicycle Poker Rally - Have fun, win great prizes, and benefit two great organizations! Contestants ride the trails stopping at different stations to pick up a playing card. The more stations you visit, the more cards you get. Build the best Poker hand you can and then meet back at Rally Central to see how you’ve done. This is a great event for riders of all skill and fitness levels. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt and a chance to win a Mountain Bike, courtesy of Hickory & Tweed and Cannondale, and the knowledge that they’re supporting great work.

Take out your frustrations on our clunker. It’s more about technique than strength.

The Bicycle Limbo Contest

How low can you go? Different age (and size) classes for the best competition.

Guided Rides for Kids and Adults

- Fun rides will be available for kids of all ages. Just bring their bikes and helmets!
-Rides will also be available for Adults of all MTB abilities



The Slowest Rider Race

Test your bike handling skills in a race for the tortoise in all of us. The last rider over the line wins.



Mechanical Help Available All Day


-Mechanics provided by our sponsors will be available free all day! ( *parts not included) Skipping gears and lousy brakes will be fixed before you hit the trails.

Blue Mountain Reservation is located in Peekskill, NY. It features a range of trails suited for all levels of ability.






The map with this year's new trails added to it..(special thanks to Chuck, David & Erik for their hard work on these trails and to chuck for adding them by hand to the map )Rumor has a new GPS based Map including these trails is soon to follow courtesy of David and the Parks Dept.



By Train (with bike):


Take Metro North to the Cortlandt station. From the station go north on Route 9A. In Montrose, turn right on Montrose Station Road. At the beginning of the seasonal highway (there are plenty of signs), turn left on Washington Street. At Welcher Avenue intersection, turn right into park.

By Car:


From south: Route 9A to 9 North. Exit at Welcher Avenue; turn right and follow to park entrance.


From north: Route 9 south. Exit at Welcher Avenue; turn left and follow to park entrance.
