Hope has many new goodies in store for 2004. Their brake line up now includes the Mono6ti, which was developed to be the ultimate in braking power. These beauties feature titanium pistons fitted into a 6 piston, one-piece caliper. The pistons are coated with titanium nitride to reduce friction with the seals. The Mono6ti uses the mini levers and uses a 205mm form floating rotor and 185mm rear floating rotor. The system weighs in at 515g. The Mono6ti is the only system to use floating rotors.

Also new for 2004 is the MonoM4. The MonoM4 is the only one-piece, 4 piston caliper available in the bike world offers you additional power with super rigid caliper and solid lever feel. The MonoM4 uses the mini lever with a fixed caliper housing and four opposing pistons. The front can be used with either a 180 or 200mm rotor, while the rear can be used with either a 160 or 180mm rotor. Weight for the system is 430g.

The Mono mini has a new machined body from a single billet of 2014 T6 aluminum. The mini still uses the mini lever and two opposing pistons. The front can be used with either a 160 or 180mm rotor, while the rear can be used with either a 140 or 160mm rotor. Weight for the system is 375g.

The C2 system remains pretty much unchanged. The front can be used with either a 165 or 185mm rotor, while the rear can be used with either a 145 or 165mm rotor. Weight for the system is 480g.

The Hub lineup is the same as 2003 with their strong Bulb and big brother Big ‘UN. Unfortunately their headsets are not available in North America due to some patent infringement with another head set manufacturer.

Hope also had a lot of colorful eye candy on display, like QR Skewers, seat post clamps, fork guides Head Doctors, Grip Doctors and Spacer Doctors. All offered in a plethora of colors.

In their tool section you could find a Bleed Kit, which allows one person to bleed any hope brake in a matter of minutes by forcing the oil thought the system under pressure. I also saw this new spot tool designed to face disc mounts. A C2 spanner wrench will also now be offered, which includes two orifices for cranking down the top caps, an 8mm & 10mm open ends, 10mm ring spanner and a bottle opener.

You cal also listen to an Interbike audio commentary from Hope Tech. Enjoy!
