It’s Marshall again. Just dropping you a quick line to let you know that I’m still here. The Roach jersey design contest was an incredible success and it looks like I’m going to be able to keep my job. In fact, the response to this contest was so positive that I’m making the D.A.J (design a jersey) contest an annual event.Over the three week period the contest was running, there were literally hundreds of people from all over the world sending in their designs. From 4 year old kids using crayons to professional artists using design software, the submissions were all unique and really showed us what you think of the Roach brand.

In the end, when it came time to pick a winner, Jimmy Doyle of Vantaa, Finland had the design we liked the most. Featuring clean styling, unique placement and showcasing Roach’s core values (protection, performance and style), the artwork also delivers an underlying message.

“It is called X Marks The Spot.” Explains Jimmy “the spot being the heart... where it all comes from, it's what you put the most into your sport, its the one thing that gets you up and gets you out, making you go bigger, go further and never give up.....”

For his efforts, we’re sending Jimmy a set of North Shore DH cranks and a pair of the award winning Roach hardshell armor.

Jimmy’s design, along with the other four finalists and a gallery of our favourite submissions has been posted on the Roach website. You can view them by clicking here.

Once again, I want to thank all those who submitted their designs. I look forward to seeing what you’ve got for us next year in the second annual Roach D.A.J contest.

Thanks again,

Marshall
