Here we go. Another action packed season of the most popular Freeride show on TV. The long awaited season 3 is only hours away from leaving the editing suite and going to Ontario for Closed Captioning.
Lot's of new goodies for all you loyal fans and fairweather-watchers alike.First of all lets get all those sharpies and calendars out and let's put a big ol' "X" on January 15. This is a Saturday. Exact times are not yet available but we've made sure of 3 things. It's not too late in the day that you can't jump in the truck and get to the mountains for you favorite shuttle after, It's not too early that you'll sleep in and miss it if you were given'er too hard the night before, and it's on a station that everyone in Canada gets and the time slot is consistenet throughout the entire 13 week schedule!!!

Are you ready For A Good Time!!!

We made the switch to Global TV here in Canada instead of Sportsnet because I got sick of never knowing when my own show came on. That and I felt sorry for the fans that could never figure out Sportsnet's schedule. We hope it works out for everyone.

Change is Good!

The most noteable change this season was our bike sponsor for the show. We found exactly the support we've been looking for since day 1 in SANTA CRUZ. I think the reason why this is such a good company to be involved with Drop In (besides the kick A$$ bikes!) is because they aren't afraid to take chances and try new things that help the industry. The guy that runs the show there is named Rob Roskopp. He's the same Rob Roskopp that was one of the original Pro Skaters and that's why Santa Cruz is the most cutting edge/cool bike companies out there.
Along with Santa Cruz came the support of Adidas Eyewear and Progressive Suspension. When I say support I don't mean they sent us a whole bunch of goggles and shocks... They did that too. They asked how much $$$$ we needed and they gave it to us. They didn't ask how much and then wait until the last minute to low ball us (which has been known to happen)...
If it weren't for Block 8 Dylan Tremblay, "The Face Of Drop In" as he is now known around the world, would not have been able to join the season 3 tour. Nuff said about them!

Dude where's the editor!!

Going into season 3 we knew that something drastic had to happen in the editing department. Enter Toni "The Milkman" Muendel.
We went even further and gave him the role of Creative Director which meant that when we finally got out of the bus and filming some riding he was building the sequences we would use in the episodes in his head and telling everyone what he needed. Toni hasn't slept in about 35 hours at the time that I write this because the episodes are due and his dedication to the show and the fans that are expecting it won't let him give into coputer glitches and network guidlines and miss the delivery.
We are happy to have The Milkman on board (just check out the teaser)
and proud to say he will be finished editing Season 3 just in time to hop on the plane to New Zealand.

Cameras, Cameras, Everywhere!

We had some amazing talent behind the lens show up this season. We had Jamie and Darcy come join us for a day from The Collective. You can watch these guys in action while filming the Drop In Crew in Chilliwack in episode 1 on January 15.

Ambrose Weingart from Pist 'N' Broke the makers of the Back In The Saddle films was on tour for about a month and pulled the trigger of some of the more epic shots ever on Drop In. We would have loved to have Ambrose for the whole tour but he cost too much.

Ryan Gibb from the film Suspect didn't have a choice after we showed up on his doorstep and dragged him out with his cool army camera.

John Gibson also stumbled across us while we were gearing up for a day that Tyler dubbed "Air Miles For Bigger Smiles". I think you can imagine what kind of still photos came out of that one!
