The Mog shuttles begin on Vedder Mountain!!!

Well the long weekend has begun and what better way to enjoy it then packing up the bikes, kids and making your way to Chilliwack B.C. and the runs on Vedder Mountain!!! This is what was going through the minds of Harry Widdowson, Max Austin and Ken Austin as they left Alberta at 4am friday morning and headed west to the city of Chilliwack. Little did they now what was instore for them........Well the guys all stopped by the PB headquarters, unpacked their gear from the Volvo(as this is a road princess and no shuttle machine) and we loaded up the Blazer. The Blazer is our typical shuttle vehicle of choice, well that was until we pulled into the parking lot to find Petri loading up his shuttle Monster-THE MOG.


The Mog will make even the burliest rider weep for joy at the thought of the number of laps that can now be put in during a day on the mountain. This is the greatest set up you could ask for out here, seating for 8 riders and bikes, a go anywhere ability and hell Petri is one nice guy to boot. The idea to run shuttles on Vedder Mountain began last year after Petri and his Mog were the shuttle vehicle of choice for the Drop In crew while they were filming in Chilliwack. For those of you who have had the pleasure of riding here, you also know that your Volvo wagon isn't going to the top and dropping you off.




This is where Petri comes in. For a mere $5 a run, he'll load your bike and your carcass up and take you all the way up to Chain Crazy. For those of you doing the math, yep it's a good deal. Your car gets a beating on this road, so leave it at the bottom, give your bike to Petri and just ride for once. Imagine how pumped these Calgary boys were when they realilzed they wouldn't have to worry about recoveries or any vehicle induced troubles while here for the long weekend. So for the rest of this long weekend and through out the summer months, those of you wishing to visit Vedder Mountain in Chilliwack, B.C. can do so and not have to worry about that pesky car getting the beats. Or trying to make arrangements with that buddy of yours that has a truck, but you really don't want to ride with him. All I can say is do like Harry, Max and Ken, load up your Volvo wagon, hit the road and let Petri and THE MOG handle the rest.
