"Katmandu Bike shop along with our friends from Summit Ski, Rocky Mountain, Oakley, SRAM, Dainese and Orange Bikes, would like to invite everyone in the WORLD, on August 5th, to the:25th Anniversary“80’s” Party at Garfinkels in Whistler!
2006 marks the 25th year TLD
has been in business. What started out as a motocross racing teenager named Troy Lee painting helmets in his parents garage for his buddies, has grown to become recognized as the premier custom helmet paint shop in the world, and is the place “The World’s Fastest Racers” go when only the best will do.
“With the ’06 stuff just waiting to be released, having our Party at Whistler was a no-brainer.” Says Karl Dresen of Troy Lee Designs Canada.“ What better place to have a Party than during the biggest Mountain Bike Festival in the world? "
Karl goes on to say, “ 2006 minus 25 years equals 1981! So that’s the theme for the party, The 80’s! I spoke to some good friends of mine and called in a couple of favors so we could really get the Party happening. We’ll have some 2006 D2 Helmets to give away, along with all the other stuff, for things like, best 80’s look (guys and girls), best “NATURAL” Mullet (no wigs or hair extensions), and many more categories that we haven’t made up yet. All the Troy Lee Sponsored riders will be there as well as many of the sports biggest names. So go get your Leather Tie, and your MC Hammer “crap catcher” pants” and c’mon out and celebrate with Troy Lee.”MY THANKS from Troy Lee,
For 25 years, I have been customizing helmets "For The World's Fastest Racers." Our relentless commitment to creating products that exceed the cutting edge style, design and quality, has given us a reputation as innovators. I have to thank all the amazing athletes that we have worked with over the years, and welcome the new ones that will become part of our team. From Motocross to Freestyle, MTB to BMX and on down the line, we have been fortunate to work with the best in the world. We at TLD appreciate the fact that every day the racers and freeriders get out there and put it all on the line. They are my motivation to hop out of bed every morning and smile all the way to work!
I am also really fortunate to have such an amazing group of talented designers and dedicated staff working with me. I am thankful every day for the effort they put forth into making the company a successful and interesting place to work. Their dedication and talent has even allowed me to slow down a little and spend more time with my kids Max and Carly.
I hope you enjoy the Party and our 2006 line-up – It has been a blast putting it all together. Hope to see you out ridin', we'll go a few laps!Peace & Wheelies,
Special thanks to everyone who helped put this Party together. Rob and the boys at Katmandu, Mike at Garfinkels, Brett at Summit Ski, Cody from Orange, Oakley and Dainese, Peter at Rocky and Tyler from SRAM. It should be a great night of cheezy 80’s tunes, tons of free stuff and a few surprises!
