Race Face’s UXC Launched
Vancouver, BC (August 7, 2005) - It was just over a month ago when you, our online community selected the two teams you wanted to see compete in the 2005 TransRockies as part of Race Face’s Ultimate XC Challenge. And now, both teams are on the race of their lives. Starting in Fernie, British Columbia on Sunday and now they are on route to Canmore AB.For the father and son team of Eric and James Crowe, this gruelling 7 day, 600km race will be the ultimate, once in a lifetime bonding experience. And for Neil Grover and Troy Misseghers, their sights are clearly set on the podium, hoping to take full advantage of Race Face’s full support to improve upon their second place finish from last year.
What will our two teams experience as they undertake one of the most memorable adventures of their lives? What emotions will they experience? What sort of pain will they endure and what will they learn about themselves and each other? We’re about to find out as the Ultimate XC Challenge begins its online coverage!
Beginning this Sunday, August 7th and continuing through to the 13th, you’ll be able to follow both teams’ progress through daily updates to Race Face’s UXC site. There you’ll find the latest news concerning our teams, current standings and photos from each day. Both teams will submit daily web logs, documenting their experience for you and you in turn will be able to get in touch with our riders by e-mailing them your letters of support. Plus you’ll be able to follow along with our riders with detailed, interactive maps of the entire 7 stage course.
Check out our newly launched UXC site at: www.raceface.com/uxc
and make sure to come back each day from the 7th-13th to see how our two teams are doing.
We’ll be in touch mid way through the race with a progress report and once at the end of the race.
