Anne-Caroline added yet another rainbow jersey to her wardrobe in today's 4X World Championships, while Brian Lopes took the men's event. With an estimated crowd of over 10,000 spectators, Chausson led from start to finish in the final, leaving Katrina Miller, Sabrina Jonnier and Tai Lee Muxlow to battle it out for second, third and fourth. In the men's final, Eric Carter got the holeshot over Lopes, but allowed just enough room for Lopes to pass him in the first turn. Carter then lost a pedal and was relegated to third after the hard charging Cedric Gracia. Michal Prokop of the Czech Republic took fourth while American Brian Schmith, until recently unknown, placed fifth. MEN
