Atherton Diaries Episode 22: First Race of the Season - Video

Apr 11, 2018
by Atherton Racing

The first race of the season is in the books, with wins for Rachel and Kade! The crew was out in force at the first race of the National Series this weekend. The South Wales village of Cwmcarn hosted the first in a new series of nationals and it did not disappoint. One of the most highly attended British races in a long time, it's great to see how alive downhill racing is in the UK! See how the crew got on at the first real test of all the new gear.

I feel like the quality of this video series has decreased since last year. Anyone else feel the same?

The vids over the winter were much shorter but that’s likely just due to it being the offseason. They 1) probably don’t have as much going on, and 2) don’t have as much of a production crew following them since the team isn’t likely all together. Once the season starts back up I’d expect more robust content again.

It would've been nice to see more shots of the track - same berms and jumps everyone has footage of...otherwise it's a bit shorter still a nice recap for the red gumby trek riders

Yep. Short and not too sweet so far compared to last year.

What's with all the hate?! Great to see them back at it. Solid team this year with Charlie. Looking forward to seeing how they all get on.

Love these guys, but the uni-colored downhill jump suits need to stop

Think when you watch team vids like the syndicate or propain zelvy which are awesome it makes the Atherton edits seem even more boring

You sure you want red jerseys? I'd make them black like the 29er.
