I get that it was an insurance nightmare, but I think the AT showdown was better when it was paired with the RideSFO expo at the Cow Palace......far more people there to enjoy the show
I do find it kinda sad that such a cool event has been demoted to such small crowds in metal bleachers. These athletes really deserve better than this but it's not the organizers fault. It's just that fact that the mainstream public isn't really exposed to mountain biking in some places and this is the result. Unfortunate, but there's not much that can be done other than everyone trying to be a good ambassador to the sport.
@Duncan1104: Your absolutely right. I just think in general the public view mountain biking more as what they do with their grandkids in the park rather than something of this scale.
