The thin air and long fast tracks demanded the absolute best of the riders physical abilities with the challenge of Colorado, very different to the last round in the Italian Alps. Richard Cunynghame guides you through the two days of racing.

Time to kill IT guy who configured pinkbike vid blocking in my company ]:->

Our IT guy is a DHer and definitely knows about my PB wankery at work. I really hope he doesn't do the same someday.

@briceps: As IT guy, you must be a motherf... if block pinkbike or any bike publication

I install a own connection to bypass the company server :-D
Now i only switch the lan-cable and i can enjoy pinkbike.

I do wonder what all the "a 29" will never win an EWS" muppets are thinking after two wins this year already.

Tracy Moseley did alright on a 29er...

They will say "still a clown bike" or "26 for evaa!" as usual while the world moves on around them!
  • 7 3
@Racer951: yeaaaa bro 26 is not deaad
  • 16 1
Please stop, it's not the bike that wins these races...it's the biker. All of the bikes raced here are amazing by any standards.

@ryan83: exactly, more options means something to suit everyone.
  • 2 1
@ryan83: yeah but the fact is so many plebs on here said a 29" would NEVER win a men's EWS.

@jclnv: Most (read: all) that post such things are on this side of these articles for a reason - they'd never make it with their own MTB sites, etc.

The perfect wheel-size is the one that gets people off the couch. Smile

Amazing job with the media as usual. I feel like it just keeps getting more and more refined every race.

Quality. I particularly enjoyed the outro. I do wish the overall was displayed after each stage though so I can get more of a feel for how the race is building - it is more important than the stage results in enduro surely?

Great to see Stuttard racing in the big international league. Can only imagine what it must feel like to go up against seasoned EWS riders. Keep on pushing it dude!!!

That was killer! Some very nice footage except it ended kinda abruptly and cut off Richie; how Rude!
Good job RC! why you all banged up?

If you watch his track preview vid he crashed once or twice.

Graves cornering at 12:15. That has to be the definition of textbook. Richie Rude, total animal!

I hear Chris Panozzo is Joel panozzos Cousin? Serious pedigree in that family!

I once read a multi page spread in a local Aussie magazine over 5 years ago on this family. Big family who all ride. Their names really stuck in my mind, so when i see it I pay attention and rightfully proven in Colorado!

Feels like there's more footage of the women this year, both riding and interviews. I'm really digging it!

Would be nice to see T-Mo at these races again. She had so many more wins in her.

Time to make a pause at work!!

Were the courses generally as flat and smooth as all of the video shows? Course 6 looked solid, but 1-4 looked meh. Seems to be a recurring theme for the US rounds. I raced the Trestle round two years ago and it was very park focused. Bike parks or bike paths where the biggest factor is the 10,000' elevation.

Not euro steep, but not as flat as the limited camera locations made it look.
  • 2 0
If this was flat then I am the ultimate pussy! that was some of the gnarliest terrain I have ever ridden! 4 was pretty meh though...
  • 2 1
i agree, them trails, were pretty tame and very redundent.

Hats of to GC if he can session a 6 pack of tall Dales
