Bang Bang is a action documentary by Aaron Chase. For you of those that didn't know, Chase broke his L1 vertebrae in his back during the 2007 season. Chase says "I was sitting there, looking down at my legs, and I couldn't feel them. It was the worst feeling in the world". For someone who's whole career rotates around with his wheels, being paralyzed from the waist down would be a tragedy.
Bang Bang follows Chase through his 2007 season, including his broken back, his recovery, and his final successes. Take a trip with Aaron, Cam, Kyle, and a bunch of other professional riders through the 2007 season.Aaron Chase is arguably one of the most "down to earth" riders in the slopestyle genre of the sport. He continues to have a successful career and is backed by some of the best in the business, Red Bull, Cannondale and Fox Racing all have them on their rider's lists. However, Aaron Chase has worked hard for his successes and taken some beats along the way, including breaking his L1 vertebrae at a Qashqai round in 2007. The accident ended his Qashqai tour, but the show had to go on and this is where Bang Bang begins to parallel the lives of Aaron Chase and Can McCaul as they head down different paths during the 2007 season.
Bang Bang continues to follow the Qashqai series where Cam McCaul, Andreu Lacondeguy, and other riders dominate the podium consistently, with clips from the traveling, partying, and even the podium positions. Bang Bang is very well filmed, featuring a vast array of music. A highlight for me was all the footage of the local riding areas including local dirt jumps, and pump tracks, from the event areas.
It's nice to see what the pros do in their day to day lives. Everything from breakfast, to packing up, to building up, to traveling. Bang Bang showcases it all, while still including time to give you regular updates on how Aaron is doing with his surgery and recovery. Cam McCaul is a very good commentator due to his pure energy, unique outlook on everything that is happening, and his awesome riding style. He is super energetic, and keeps you listening the whole time.
Paul Bas Celebrates like Motley Crue
Bang Bang is a really good movie to watch. It's nice to get an insight on how these pro's live day to day, and what they actually go through to be on the top. It's not all foot massages and back rubs, there is a lot of hiccups along the way. If you're looking for a video that showcases the Nissan Qashqai series, shows some unique footage from around the world, and gives you a story behind Aaron Chase's accident and recovery, check out Bang Bang.

I grew up with Aaron on the east coast and it's really cool to see the progression over the years and I'm glad to see him recover from this.
