BC Enduro Series - Sunshine Coast British Columbia

The Osprey BC Enduro Series is ready to get things kicked off for 2015. The Sunshine Coast is the first stop for the series this year and we have a sweet course lined up.

We are only going to be releasing Stages 1, 2 and 5 here and then stages 3 and 4 will get released on Friday night with still time to pre-ride on Saturday afternoon. Why? Well you will find out Friday night (no there aren't any secret trials, or any surprises, its just to follow some trail etiquette and it will make sense why when we release them). They will get released on the Osprey BC Enduro Series FB Page and Website.

Stage 1: Built to Spill (second entrance not BTS 1 on map) - to 103 - to 2001 - to Pacheco
Stage 2: Janet's Jungle to DNZ
Stage 3: Released on Friday (intermediate trail)
Stage 4: Released on Friday (advanced to intermediate)
Stage 5: Torrent to Doug's Detention to Pineapple Express

Finish - Persephone's Beer Farm for some well deserved beer!

2.5 - 4hr course

BC Enduro Series did a trail day on Saturday to get Built to Spill ready for the race - thanks to those that came out, as we wouldn't have been able to use the trails without it and its the best one on the course!

It's awesome that the courses (both this and North Van so far) are including a good mix of new school and old school with tech and flow trails, so why wouldn't there be a jump trail? It allows the races to be accessible and fun for all types of riders and skill sets and allows the faster/advanced riders to be able to gain some serious time if they are willing to take the risk and ride some of the features here and there. Awesome work Megan and local organizers! Stoked for this year!

Hey dude! Where did you get info on the Nth Van trails to be used?

It was released on pinkbike but I couldn't find it in the pinkbike search, but if you go to the bc enduro series Facebook page you can find the link. They are also on trail forks website with videos! Should be a fun course!

Hey @bigmike9699 Stage 2 DNZ has a bunch of jumps/gaps on it. Probably faster not to hit most of them though Wink We need more options like at Rossland where stage 4 you could hit Blue Eyes for the big boys (and girls) vimeo.com/53915851 or a longer ride around for those not up for the challenge! Just need to find more stuff like that!!

Thanks Megan! My comment was actually directed at one of the comments below laughing at the inclusion of dnz (in the process i was asking that original poster "why not a jump trail?"), and for some reason it got posted as a stand alone comment.

I'm actually stoked on the trail selections! As you say, great variety and something for every type of rider!

Ah yes @bigmike9699 - I re-read it and it reads different now - I thought you were asking for jump trails Wink but get it now!

This is going to be AWESOME!! I have a feeling that the unreleased trails are going to make this course even better than last years Smile If it wasn't for the BC Enduro Series I would have no idea how great the trails are on the Sunshine Coast (they are awesome)

you guys should add a 15 and under category! Smile

Will for sure start to add a U15 category when there are enough riders to make one. I have a feeling we will get there this year! Always love to support the up and coming youngen's...

It is I'm just saying its kind of funny having a jump trail as a part of an enduro race
  • + 1
it was like that last year @jalin

the Vedder race put on by the FVMBA had similar sections as well , one stage had a really long log thru a bog , and there was a jump trail and some big structures one could ride or go around .

I love reading these comments...you get a bit of everything...you get some asking for jump trails @bigmike9699 then you have others laughing when we put jump trails in @jalin - its all about variety right - a bit a everything and every trail type - and of course its always important to get everyones thoughts to see where the movement is going and what people want to see and not see in a course.

I stand corrected my bad....I just thought it was kind of interesting adding a jump trail that you won't hit half the jumps cuz it's faster...but it'll be fun I guess
