Double Down Hoe Down MTB DH Race

Two Downhill Races-ONE WEEKEND- DOUBLE POINTS! Wheelsport East in Spokane, WA is hosting a USA Cycling Sanctioned 2 Day Downhill Mountain Bike event at the Beacon Hill tracks. This is the first weekend of racing in the Pacific Northwest and many riders are buzzing forum boards and text messages are circulating about the Pro Cash Purse/TBA. Both days will have different courses and a guaranteed good time will be had by all who attend. Expect a fun weekend of racing and see if you're ready for the upcoming DH gravity season.For more information go to the Wheelsport East website here.

Double Hoe Down Event Flyer


Entry is $25 USD Per Day. Plus you have to have your USA Cycling Permit and License if you're Pro/Expert/Sport, Beginners just get your license to start your racing careers. One day race permits will be available on site and season applications for those slacker Pro/Expert/Sports.

Schedule As Follows:

Friday March 27th ALL DAY PRACTICE

Saturday March 28th Practice from 7;30am to 11am- Race Begins At Noon! Awards at 4pm (I'll say 5pm due to rider turnout!!)

Sunday March 29th Practice On New Course from 7:30 to 11am- Race Begins At Noon! Awards at, uhm, I predict 5 to 6pmish.

Lastly to get you all super hyped on this race, here's a great visual by MTB's most aspiring filmer, Miles 'Shovelpick' Sullivan as he drove to last years Beacon Blowout, 4 hours drive to get there- filmed this amazing footage of the race and then drove 4 hours home to edit it by 2am that morning...enjoy his coverage.
